I wish they made like a short circuit like the GC Baby Park, or 8 loop, but you have to actively dodge incoming traffic/players going the opposite direction but they’re on the ceiling.
Getting rid of the award ceremony was a shame for me too.

I'll always remember at how jaw dropping this game looked when I first saw it at E3 2013. It's been an amazing ride and it's hard to believe this game is closing in on a decade of being the latest entry.
I want to straighten out those game boxes so badly. The way they are misaligned bothers me so much.

On the battle mode front I think that everyone who played Mario kart as a kid will always prefer the way their primary Mario kart did battle mode. I’m one of those fucks who grew up on Mario kart wii.

I would want to go on a record and say that in my opinion base 8 has one of the lamest track selections of any MK game. Most Nitro's feel same-y, the retro selection feels like my personal hatepile, and the theming of these tracks was bland, very often. And while the visuals are stunning, they are so bland. (Did they forget what color and cartoon is?)
Thank god both DLC's for the Wii U nailed the MK8 artstyle at last and the BCP reintroduced color (maybe a bit too many flat colors but hey it's color) and all the DLCs, THAT is a good track selection
