Deoxit? Where you git dat stuff?
2:04 godammit I was just typing it out, I should just bit my big fat Tongue! 😅
I can hear the furnace but it's never been a problem for me.
Maybe headphone users have more of a problem.
Good video.makes me remind myself to do the visual ins in
pection first tx eric
You absolutely have to make sure all the fuses are facing the right way because some people might think a 25 amp upside down is a 52 amp fuse.
Eric, yet another electrifying episode! You are definitely smarter than the average bear! On these modernistic cars a lot of us just walk away when they start heading south. You're not afraid of driving right in! Cheers from the High Desert dry country Nueva Mexico!
All chevy vehicles are ,,problems ,,history says so,😂,,enjoy your repairs for years 😂 is your warranty expired
I just did this on my 09 a few months ago 😂
Same thing but mine was so bad the one leg of the fuse was completely missing. Keep up the good work Eric!
I think your neighbors lawnmower is much louder than your furnace.
The furnace is not that loud! Leave it on, no need for you to suffer to provide us with entertainment

Howdy, Le' me throw something passed ya , , , The corrosion in that 30 amp fuse creates' a 2 amp fuse, , , ,
Which blows every time a new connection is made. ? Lets throw in , , , Path of least resistance ?
Wouldn't that be , , , the unbroken 30 amp fuse link ? Hmm
ty, les
You do a great job making it interesting to follow along. I'm an old car guy, so I'm enjoying the crap out of this stuff. Thanks for letting us ride along.
@SouthMainAutoRepairLLC I haven't seen them look that bad
You restored the srs operation and whatever else was not working right. Good one Mr. O.
Funny story. I chased down an electrical issue to corrosion in connector for a bulkhead module. I sprayed it down with electrical cleaner (I’ve yet to find deoxit). Anyway, I sprayed it, scrubbed it with nylon brush then sprayed it again. I then plugged in the connector. Snap! I had a little flame up. I forgot to hit it with shop air and that spray must be alcohol based and I must’ve had the key on. Oh well, no harm done but lesson learned.
Have you ever thought about using a hand held sand blaster on them kind of corrosion problems . Just fill it up with glass bead, instead of sand .works very good . Love your videos.
Nice job!
Learn something new every day
I don't know if you can see but we can clearly see 😂😂
Hey Eric, I've been watching for a while. Have you heard of ACF 50? I believe you would be interested in trying some on corrosion jobs like this. Keep up the good work!
I feel like the ‘ol D5 needs a sound-effect. Light-saber extension maybe?
5:15 At least the fuse box doesn't look like a Chia Pet. I have a new catch phrase .
That is absolutely wild! I’ve never seen a fuse do that. Great work Eric like always.
An awesome inquiry and repair!! Well done Sir! 🍻🍻
As ab owner of a vehicle,i would be pulling every fuse and relay ,checking them and cleaning all and applying the gunk to help longevity.
Diing that is check for an owner ,and its something that any vehicle owner should be able to do .
Its really sad to think most have the attitude that its ten years old and the truck or car will be just Junk because of rust ,so prevention is not high on priority
When you pulled out the Deoxit I knew you were my repair "Spirit Animal". It too is my go to chemical I swear by on all electronics. A while ago I also found out that G-sensor in the grill for the airbag doesn't care if it is a horizontal impact or a vertical one. I dropped a 24 inch breaker bar across the frame it attached to while trying to release the serpentine belt tensioner. Had a swell time replacing a $60 part in -15F temps in Montana. On the ground. In the Snow. In my bare feet.
I have a couple of bottles of DeoxIT Gold also.
I wish you would diagnose Andy for us….
You going to have Sunday fun day anytime soon?
4-5 years ago, my 06 Sierra threw SRS codes. Few years prior I had replaced one of the front sensors like you said, but the codes now were crash detection hard codes which couldn’t be cleared. SRS system thought it had been in an accident. Ended up having to remove the airbag module from under the driver seat and send it out to he reset. It’s been fine since.
Surprised you haven’t ever seen the infamous sir module socked with water causing all kinds of wonky stuff. I see about 1 a year. See it alot more than the impact sensor in nc
No blood!!! Unsubscribing 😅
Thanks Eric you just gave me another thing to check on my truck.
Blood is no problem unless it's mine.
I can zoom that’s cool
chevrolet is keeping the business running up their over here in indiana toyota junk and ford crap keep us busy
"oh boy She nasssTY" lol
I watch 40% for diag wizardry and 60% for spurting arteries, tbh
Awesome! 😁👍❤
You can make anything interesting to watch, even opening up a crusty fuse!! Thanks as always, Eric!
I came for the dissection of the fuse to prove the hypothesis. But the potential for arterial blood spurting on the workbench is why I stayed.
Talking to your bag is therapeutic.
Good Job!
Thank You Eric! I don't live in the rust belt of up north, so my 2013 Chevy is pristine.. Still great diagnoses…
If I were to bring a new car in and have you apply that " peanut butter " on the under hood fuse and other connections. Would that stave off the green crusties? Would I need to bring it back in in ten years or one hundred thousand miles touch it up?.
Mrs O do you see these comments? Make the big guy a eye doctor appointment then take him for a ride for a noise in your car and drive him to his appointment. Make sure he gets two pair and one pair with that darkens in the sun film / coating.
Green crusties win again!
11 year old vehicle in the rust belt .. that’s a stretch.
Wonderful job Eric!
