  1. I loved Pokemon scarlet and also the dlc. But i regret buying Faefarm so much. I had played it on pc and it was overpriced and just do not like it. And i also regret buying Story of Seasons a wonderful life. I did not like the pressure to marry within a year and that i had a baby after that. The town was small and i did not like the characters…..

  2. For me it was lowkey Scarlet and Violet too. It cannot hold a candle to Arceus. For Arceus, the story and gameplay was EVERYTHING I wanted from a pokemon game. Despite having a lot of "story" and diverse characters, S+V overall felt bland and just a chore to explore the world and complete. I HATED "exploring" the world, it was exhausting and felt unrewarding. Also i didn't like art style. It's the first pokemon game where I didnt want to buy the DLC. Pokemon needs to buck up because the next game cannot be the tragedy that was S+V.

  3. I highly HIGHLY reccomend 'I was a teenage exocolonist'. I consider it to be cosy at least. It mostly a visual novel with 'card game' aspects for challenges (and I'm using the word card game VERY loosly. there's cards with numbers, you need to make a big number, that's it.) I don't want to say much because it is a very story heavy game, but it's sci -fi, and you follow the life of/make decisions for a kid growing up in a space colony. it's made to be replayable with a ton of different endings, and decisions you make in one route can help you out in later ones too. I literally spent 25 hours over 3 days playing it when I first got it.

I will say, it can deal with some heavier topics but there is a full list of warnings in the game (and you can probably find one online too).

Another excellent game I consider cosy is 'Fantasy Life' for the 3ds. You go about getting different jobs (called lives in the game) and progressing through the levels and also an overarching storyline. The jobs feed into each other, i.e. you mine materials in as a minor, use those materials to make armour as a blacksmith, wear that armour as a paladin to defeat a monster, use the material drops from the monster to make wizard robes as a tailor etc. It's one of my all time favourites, and there's so much life in the game. The art style is really cute too

It is very dialogue heavy and there's no voice acting though, which I know has turned some people off the game, but I still love it.

If you want a newer one, there is a fantasy life switch game coming out too.

  4. Most of the games you mentioned are games i wouldn't even bother trying but splatoon 3 is so much fun but it just sounds like you just have a skill issue with it, If you can get passed the performance issues with pokemon scarlet/violet it is a wonderful game that has a lot of stuff to do, fire emblem three houses is one of the best switch games ever made but the poor animations ruined game of the year for it. I wouldn't trust what she says, if you think a game looks good you should try it out.

  5. I feel like I'd LOVE a video of you suggesting all the witchy games you played! The cosmic wheel of sisterhood being one, but I'm so curious as to what other witch-related games you've played that you enjoyed, in just one video! I think there's been quite a lot but I can't remember most of the names of them, but you seem like the ideal person to make a video like that since most are cosy as heck!

  6. For Warriors type games, i love them so so much so i never understood why people disliked them until i realized I've been playing them very differently, i only buy Warriors Games to play with my sister and so the multiplayer experience for these games becomes a little bit less repetitive and a lot more fast paced, but not only that, it becomes a game of strategizing together tactics of how to beat as many missions and side missions in a chapter as fast as possible, if you find yourself not enjoying Warrior games i genuinely recommend trying them with a friend, it's a whole different experience.

  7. about story of seasons, as someone that played all the ones from 3ds and switch, I hope they start doing something like 3DS because they were…idk, creative. pioneer of olive town wanted to be like animal crossing (with all the crafting and stuff) but it's not that cool. a wonderful like I actually loved it because it was for sure new for me (it's a remake). but yeah, trio of towns (3ds) and tree of tranquility (Wii) were somewhat better for me. affortunately simple games make me entertained so I don't need them to be super good and different and creative, but yeah, I hope they come with something newer and better for their next story of seasons.

  8. I didn't know Coral Island was not finished… 😮 I'm so disapointed 😢 now I just want to stop playing, wait until it's finished and, knowing me, I will start over my game because I'm always afraid of missing things 😂😢 thanks for the info

  9. Two of my favourite games being on this list… well, I don't regret buying them. Despite glitches and even crashes (yes, I experienced those too), Pokémon Scarlet and Violet was still very enjoyable game to me. I even daresay it's one of my most favourite Pokémon games. Detective Pikachu Returns is also something I was looking forward since finishing the first one for 3DS. And, honestly, if you played that, you would've know what to expect from this one, so, you wouldn't be disappointed. If you didn't, though, and expected something on par with the Sherlock Holmes games, for example, then, yes, I can understand your disappointment. But still, and I am sorry to write it this bluntly, but expecting Pokémon games not to be for kids is a little silly to me.
But there was game I personally regretted and that was Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. These games were just meh, from graphics that was worse than first two 3DS Pokémon games, through game mechanics that just weren't on par with modern Pokémon games, to the fact they ignored any improvements Platinum did, these games just did everything wrong and almost nothing right. And the result was very painful and hard to enjoy experience. I was, probably, naive, to think that the creators will know they are remaking one of the weakest Pokémon game pairss and will improve them, like all the previous Pokémon remakes did. However, not only they did not improve anything, but they also, somehow, made the whole experience worse than Platinum and that's something. In the end, BDSP became the worst Pokémon remakes and ones of the worst Pokémon games ever. And definitely the worst Pokémon games on Switch. And this comes from someone who never liked Let's Go games and hopes we will never see more of them. But I still, sort of, enjoyed those games, which I can't tell about BDSP. So, that's my regret purchase for Switch.

BTW, Everdream Valley was released on Switch? Man, I had no idea, until I saw this video 😅 On PC, I really enjoyed that game, but playing this on Switch? Man, I dunno about that.

  10. Unpopular take: I regret buying Iconoclasts (physical)! I found the puzzles and bosses to be obtuse, the story confusing (and perhaps overrated) and the characters forgettable. The ending was bizarre as well, but I think the 'whole point' of it all may have been too highbrow (brilliant?) for me to appreciate. I regularly contemplate selling it, and I adore my switch collection (100+ games, <60 physical).

  11. I don't regret getting Link's Awakening, but as someone who played the original version on their very first personal handheld system, I have way more nostalgia for it than younger people. Older Zelda games do need some out of game direction, which used to be provided in the game manuals, which makes it tough to play them in this day in age where game manuals just don't exist anymore. I'll admit I did look up a guide when it was time to get to Animal Town, since I hadn't played the game in over 20 years, and I've continued using it for the secret seashells.

  12. I feel the need to point out that gamefreak the creators of the games DOES NOT also make the anime so that's totally unrelated to the games in regards to cutscenes.

But I feel gamefreak just keeps getting lazier by the game. Heck they even cut back on the dex to 'add content' in sword and shield although they initially claimed them made all the Pokemon models from scratch which was disproved by a YouTuber I don't care for turning my Pokemon giant and the dynanax Pokemon could easily have been new megas instead. But I love the tera forms in s/v and the story in s/v feels more fleshed out than part gen games most of which was a copy paste bad team trying to take over using legendaries and you need to defeat them while on your journey to become champion.

  13. I admit I was disappointed to see Splatoon 3 on this list, though you do have a point about the casuals having abandoned it, leaving the tryhards. I have noticed that the average Turf War randos’ skill level is markedly higher than in Splatoon 2

I’ll be frank though… I think what keeps me so gung ho about Splatoon 3 right now is the party atmosphere of Splatfest, and the anticipation of them. Splatfest has always been my favorite part of the franchise. When Splatoon 3 was first announced, I had likely my most over-the-top reaction ever, prompting others to say they hadn’t seen me that excited in YEARS! 🤣

All in all though, I still can’t tear myself away from the game. I can’t get enough of it!
