  1. Still stronger, more reliable, and more durable then that German decorative thing, plus if completely disassemble the liger has more parts, colt is easier to take apart, clean, and put back together, you need a gun smithing degree to maintain a luger, so get off the nazi wagon or switch uniforms.

  2. Lmao hey man dont bother fighting with the internet too much its an endless battle with little to gain but thanks for showing all the different ways of disassembly XD

  3. thing is, I have never had my GI 1911 needing stripped except for cleaning, and it is 100 times more robust than the luger, can not say the same thing for my luger about jams

  4. Those guns with a retained mainspring have more parts. The more parts, the more likely a failure. I myself will go for the lowest part gun, with the simplest construction and the 1911 fits that better than 90% of all pistols on the market.

  5. Owning a few of each, I have to tell you that if you don’t take the bolt out of the Luger upper, you’re not really stripping it. Also, you don’t need a special tool to do it. The pin comes out one way and can be pushed out with a bullet tip.

  6. Well… I mean you’re still discounting the other parts of the toggle for the Luger that can be removed for cleaning and field stripping. The 1911 slide is also better suited for dealing with dirt or mud than the finely and tightly fit Luger. There’s a reason the Germans tried to get away from the Luger with the P38. And the main reason it stayed in production during WWII was because since the production lines for those pistols were still usable, it made sense to keep them going. Kinda like how our production of almost 2 million 1911s lead to congress freezing any funding for attempts to replace the 1911 post WWII.

  7. If u think the 1911 is an easier gun to maintain u should not own a gun because clearly alot of it isnt properly cleaned
Now the creator of this vid knows that lugger is alot better because its 2 motions and lmaoo saftey checks😂 when u disassemble a gun u are literally taking firing mechinish away from where bullets sit and even if there is one in the chamber the gun automatically dis arms its self

  8. Dude just a genuine question, why do you have such a hate boner for American weaponry and such a boner for German guns? Like seriously, you act like people are dumb for liking these guns. The American guns are usually cheaper and EASIER to produce. Please look into the logistic side of things before making an ass of yourself please…

  9. People just have a hard time coping with the fact that a lot of Germany's inventions were in fact a lot better than ours. Hell the 30-06 bullet was literally copied from the 8 mm. The 1903 Springfield is also considered
    "The American Mauser"

    For a reason as well

  10. May be a bit more complicated to take down for cleaning, but a lot of servicemen loved the 1911 in the Pacific since .45 hits hard.

In the end I would argue to go with that you like in a carry pistol. I love my RIA 1911, but I also carry a 9mm since it's smaller and more compact.
