Big like to the 68 RR. Drove one for 9 years in the 70s.
It’s not about the ride it’s the fact that you typically wind up cutting stuff off or notching the frame. It can damage the actual truck chasis. But then again you are the guy that wants “stealeys” on freaking everything. Hey I’ve got an idea let’s put the absolute heaviest wheel they make on everything.
Don’t low it any further we need to save the old trucks not further destroy them.
Make long beds great again.

I have to say that if you’re okay with swapping a shi-vrolet to a Ford there shouldn’t be a problem going short bed to long bed. I love all the work you put into your vehicles.
