  1. To me I think it looks really great and has a a some what futuristic style to it. And I think Dell is mostly trying to stand out from the rest of the other laptop brands out there but however by doing so and implementing some elements does limit the laptops capabilities in the long run

  2. beautiful machine – design wise. Not a fan of those keys – they might have worked with some type of sculpted keycaps, but the all flat keys with hardly any spacing is a recipe for disaster when it comes to typing accuracy. I will give Dell credit for design, however. I actually find this more visually appealing than a Macbook Pro.

  3. About touchpad-click on Dell XPS: it is as good as on MacBooks?
I have a MacBook Air and want a Windows computer, but can't find a touchpad on Windows computer where you don't have to press much harder on the touchpad than on the MacBook.
I see that XPS has a Sensel touchpad and would like to know if I finally can get a Windows computer with a touchpad where I don't have to press hard to click..

  4. Can't wait for the 14' review

My only 2 complaints my XPS 13 Plus have been piss-poor battery life, and a 60Hz Refresh Rate.

If Dell has managed to fix that, then I might get one.

Tho you'll have to acknowledge just how crazy Apple's M-Series and A-Series SoCs have been.

My 14'1 MBP lasted for more than twice the time my XPS 13 did, with the exact same things running. Office apps, Slack, Outlook, Chrome, Edge, YT Music, WhatsApp, and a few other random and work apps, at 100% brightness and maximum Refresh Rates.

The 13 Plus with a 60Hz Refresh Rate [as compared to 120Hz on the MacBook] collapsed so quick, whilst my MacBook lasted me an entire workday. Just insane.

On the other hand, Qualcomm's SnapDragon 8 Gen 3 is still behind the A17 Pro in terms of raw performance and efficiency.

    Just wow.

    Nice review anyways bud.

  5. It is very expensive for what you get, especially when you consider it only has a 4070 – if it has a 4080 or 4090 at that price, I think that it would be a stronger case.

Thr screen is nice though. I hope that they release a 4k 120hz oled at some point.

  6. I purchased a Dell XPS back in 2016, I used it for 1 hour before coming to the conclusion that it was pretty crap, from the hardware itself to the Windows OS running at the time, and this is coming from someone who has been using a MacBook Pro since 2010. I honestly think Dell was too ambitious with the pricing, with an almost identically spec'd MacBook Pro 16" basically the same price, and the M3 Max is much better in performance than Intel's Ultra 7 if I'm not mistaken. Looks like Dell has improved a lot since 2016, but I still think it's kind of a no-brainer to go with Apple right now unless you absolutely need Windows.

  7. I am going to college and I am majoring in CS I wanted to get the XPS 15 as its really cheap for what its offering but my parents are miltary and we are stationed in italy and dell doesnt ship from us to italy so my dad is going to have me wait to buy a laptop in 6-7 months, I was wondering how much the xps 16 will drop by then if at all, because right now its really expensive.

  8. I think for those that want to see exactly how large the touchpad is at 3:25 Andrew takes off the keyboard protective plastic and on the plastic you can see the lines Dell puts on there to show the edges of the touchpad. I've had my XPS 15 for almost 9 years now and have been holding off upgrading it since the last couple years XPS had some heat issues on the laptops. Was looking at the MacBook but I'm not a content creator and have been a windows guy all my life. This looks like it could be what I was looking for.

  9. Where did the function keys F1..F12 go? I have a Dell XPS 9560, and this model has everything that currently sold Dell computers don't have. The only criticism of the XPS 9560 is that there is no 14-inch version. A little hint for Dell, take the XPS 9560 with all its ports, shrink it to 14 inches, and equip it with a powerful processor with a strong GPU, for example, from AMD. And don't forget to add the F1..F12 keys.

  10. Fantastic review Andrew. Is the screen difference between this and the XPS 17 noticeable? Still wondering if I should get a high spec XPS 17 to maximise screen real estate.

  11. Hi 👋🏻, can you upgrade the storage? I understand the RAM is soldered but I thought the storage was accessible. However I just watched a different video that said the storage is not upgradable. Do you know?

  12. great, now let's dell produce the same design in 17", with full sized function keys and full sized numpad – every single professional user would love that machine. What we got now is a beta version due to lack of these keys and lack of the 17" screen option.
