Seeing your desktop reflected, or projected.. I keep thinking about Black mirror, and all the tiny soul clones that they use as interface or AI technology.. I feel like I can see the tiny Jeff inside the glasses.. just waiting for his chance to either escape and take back his life, or at the very least sweet Oblivion..
Oh my gosh it's like PC principal had a baby with a Portland hipster and got Tron beamed into Deus ex, while also filming a live studio show.. like the moment the glasses go on.. the entire perception of the reality and what it means changes! To support the joke of course which ones are very good but holy crap is that uncanny, I'm sure throughout the production process of this.. I am not exactly alone here in my thoughts.. unless..
Not good for desktop use makes it a no-go for me. I really want one pair for programming. The idea of a huge monitor would be fantastic.
dang, that cable is proprietary, i thought at first it looked like the dozzen or so different 'magsafe' adapters that let you plug in a little nearly flush dongle into a laptop or phone, and get full 10g speeds and up to 100w power delivery(on the larger ones, the smaller ones are 45-60w)
Would love to see Jeff do a review of the Viture One Cloud
ad blocker warning, had to downvote, later!
The temples are so thick i wish they would attempt a fully standalone pair that has built in batteries and a focus on screen mirroring so they dont have to put too much components inside
Funny enough the Xreal airs screen it too high and I have to constantly look up instead of looking straight to see the entire screen. It tires my eyes out.
My friends Virtues looks alot better, but they also have that proprietary USB-C cable
Interesting that TCL would have issues with soundquality given that they are a fairly big player in audio.. (Well i suppose that if Sony could struggle with displaytech anything goes really)
For $450 Xreal just has a better bundle. Not to mention offering 120hz which I am super excited about
Nice shirt! 🙂
At work, we have an AR setup with the fuel systems and air conditioning systems for the Boeing 777, so the instructor can show how everything works in a 3D model. It's pretty cool.
It’s so interesting that this is what they release after seeing what else is available on the market.
Especially at this price point
Hey, as a contacts wearer, I love my Xreal airs but it limits my ability to use them in bed or other times when I have my contacts out. I just realized you also have glasses, and was wondering if you had any tips on using HMD glasses when you have a pair of real life glasses? Im nearsighted so without contacts the image is always blurry for me…
The only upside to the proprietary plug is that you know it's the right one for the job. You don't have to test and/or label each of your cables that terminate in a USB-C connector to see which ones have the right pins connected to get DP-Alt to work.
As for the device itself, it's a good first effort, and my experience with TCLs other products makes me hopeful that their next generation will improve, should they deem making a next gen a good idea.
Oh man, the Blue Windows background glowing through the sunglass covers makes me think these could be a wonderful part of a Halloween costume. You could have glowing colorful eyes shining through your glasses 😀
Great video as always – thank you. As a glasses wearer, do you need to put prescription lenses into the AR glasses?
I have a tall mid western face. I have not been able to use Rokid or Xreal because I just can't get the image to fit in my field of view without it being fuzzy on the edges.
This channel gets better and better day by day
Why was usc not fiber? only flexibility?
