  1. As with 99% of other marketing teams, they know literally nothing about how technology works. This clown should be held to account for his words and everyone who bought an 8GB Macbook M3 should start a class action lawsuit for such blatent lies.

  2. the problem I think people are missing is that apple because of their closed system adding sideloading destroys a large part of how their user safe and device security works opening these phones up to threat that would spread like a wildfire due to apple making all devices and os so similar

  3. This no selling for a year clause is very common with luxury cars and especially hyped or otherwise scarce models. It's standard in Ferrari's contract, Porsche did it with the 911 S/T, Ford did it with F-150 Lightning, etc. The purpose is to stop scalpers from buying the stock and selling it for a lot more. The remote disabling is a unique dystopian touch though.

  4. You can actually sideload apps if you have developer mode on and you can use sideloady, or scarlet, or troll store, and etc to sideload apps onto your iPad/iphone. Ofcourse you will have to reverify them in about 7 days so Atleast making sideloading last longer will hopefully be a huge win

  5. Please let your yt rep know how insanely stupid removing the channels tab is. It massively slows down seeing your latest videos, especially for someone like you with many channels

  6. Sideloading on iPadOS should come first. Then we will truly have a laptop replacement. About malware, etc.? It didn’t happen or at least not as frequently as in MacOS.

  7. Look Apple is both right and wrong.

They are 100% correct about 8GB unified memory on Apple Silicon being roughly equivalent to 16GB of RAM on x86 systems… Apple Silicon hardware is much more efficient with memory usage than x86, and add the impact of a more efficient OS. ( MacOS uses less resources than Windows.)

They are 100% wrong to defend 8GB of RAM on their systems though.

And that is because on BOTH systems it is not enough memory.

For Apple Silicon on MacOS you need 12GB as a minimum. Apple should just start their lineup with 16GB RAM in my opinion – even if it means changing the entry level price of the lineup.

For x86, you need 16GB RAM and a discrete graphic chipset with at least 4GB VRAM … OR 24GB RAM, if you can settle for integrated x86 graphics performance.

Trust me on this. (casts an angry glare at his 16GB Windows laptop assigned by work. It's my work machine – I'm not allowed to upgrade it, otherwise it would be at 48GB already.)

Now … I can hear the haters warming up their keyboards… but Apple Silicon is more efficient with memory.

That is huge on the low end – the system itself chews up a lot of your resources just to run.

On the high end though it makes less difference. I mean a Windows based solution that needs 128GB RAM and 16GB VRAM will probably need 128GB on an M2 or M3 based system.

Yes the mac is more efficient, but data is data, and as a percentage it becomes less significant as the problems get bigger.

  8. i dont want apple users to be able to sideload like on android. it would hurt the security of the device and also i want that to stay exclusive to real "pro" users😉

(Also cant you afford the notes app? What are you? Poor or something?😂)(an apple user said this to me)

  9. Disable your vehicle you paid for electronically? I will never buy a Tesla product ever and neither should anyone who want's to own the things they buy.

  10. … Seriously! Finally a company is doing something about scalpers – and your response is to ridicule it?… This is EXACTLY what most of us wanted the GPU (and tons of other stuff) makers to do when the pandemic was here instead of selling them in pallets to scalpers and crypto miners. We all bitched and whined about the insane hike up in the prices for "our things"… Riddle me this guys: What do you think the reason for buying it and selling it within a year is? Do you think the price tag would be just enough to recoup the cost of the new truck – OR – do you think it would be at least double?

What you are actually doing here is complaining that scalpers can't rip people off… So it might be time to rethink your stance on this!

  11. 2:19 under equip ? I wouldn’t mind them cutting costs. Specifically because Apple products do have an advantage in some categories kind of like what an iPhone does it has less ram then a Samsung but I’ll perform is it in a lot of ways, it’s not the most practical example but I’m not targeting optimization I’m just targeting the use of little at a lower price point

  12. So I have mixed feelings about Tesla but I agree with them on this. Do you know how many overpriced “used” cars I’ve seen during the last few years. Like we all hate scalpers but when it comes to cars all of a sudden we’re all like this violates my rights.

  13. I would have never expected to hear the name of an Austrian tech news page at TechLinked. Wohoooo Futurezone is famous (And one of the best german speaking tech pages).

  14. I actually enjoyed the 'not being able to sideload' thing. It means I don't have to check if my bank's app is really my bank's app and not some malware and shit like that. Simple way to make the device secure.
If you like custom apps and stuff like that you already had android

  15. EU should stay out company like Apple and google and fix the own stuff before forcing companies to change to suit other companies reason why Apple ecosystem has always been dominant because it’s closed deal with it people you do t have to buy the stuff just stop moaning
