  1. All Tesla’s factories are run with AI, unique in industry.
This is how Tesla can make 20-30 changes per week for a few $ each.
One change at other auto factories cost 0.5-1.5 billion each and typically take years…
Tesla has their own “home made” corporate software (most others use SAP) no car maker has their own software.
FSD is going to be 100% AI in a few weeks.
Previous version was mostly AI. All the training is done with AI.
Tesla makes their own AI FSD chips, everyone else uses off the shelf general solutions from Nvidia.
Nvidia unit are not optimal for Autonomous cars & uses several times as much power.

  2. Consumers voted Tesla’s “Tesla vision” to be crap . Top of the Fsd heap as voted by consumers 1. Ford’s Blue cruise 2. Daimler/ Mercedes 3. Gm 4. Vw Audi 5, 6, 7, 8 I forget . Tesla not on the list from 1 to 8 bad showing . In addition it’s fsd hasn’t even got to l3 hands free yet, whilst Daimler, google, mobile eye have passing the regulators and available in Europe and USA. Mobile Eye just signed a huge deal with the biggest Chinese car marker Geeley . Huge news !!! Gm bought the Giga press company huge news . Toyota has had its best year ever outselling everyone in all markets including EVs ( EVs include Hybrids and PEVs) Tesla is just re inventing the wheel with AI google is far more advanced . Elon likes to say he’s got something new, when sales are down and the company is not tracking well . We got robots last time. Solar roof tiles before that , cheap car before that , the roadster all of which have not materialised . Semi did but he’s gone quite on that as it’s not viable, cbt as well after it’s initial orders are met

  3. The major shift that gets lost in the noise: lithium ion/rare earth metals vs lithium IRON (lfp). This remains a legacy issue for all battery makers and users. There's been a "quiet recall" worldwide on Lithium Ion batteries – like LG has been facing since 2021- and this will reach Telsa, eventually. Unless all EV car makers can retrofit LFP batteries for their existing vehicles (and one supposes all storage systems) Tesla faces the largest risk on all of their Lithium ION batteries out there… no? Looks like CATL has the market cornered.

  4. He's right, every auto company out there is either copying or trying to copy Tesla. If they aren't copying tesla, they are losing $30,000 per vehicle. Tesla has the best software by far, by a light year. The best manufacturing, the best charging network, the best autopilot, the best price and performance, the best everything.

  5. A lead over what rivals? Lithium based EVs have a total max production of about 5-6 million Model Y size battery packs annually. This is a small niche in the 100 million vehicle world market of about 100 million light cars and trucks. A lead in a small niche isn't much to be excited about. If anyone ever identifies a dense, safe, cheap, sturdy, durable long lasting alternative battery that can scale – then EVs may be more interesting.

  6. i I have always said if you want full self driving for real that works, get a Tesla no one has caught up to them they are years aheard its like the Iphone was back in 2007 took android 5 years to catch up.

  7. No company on this Earth right now is doing as good as TESLA!!! Done with No Unions! People working together in amazing ways! Thank you Tesla workers! Everything Tesla does is striving to help the people! Honestly and unitedly! Thanks Sam!

  8. Tesla’s AI is no longer leading, China has surpassed it. It’s not just available in overseas markets.
They had a lead and still leading in some aspects but it’s been surpassed in lots of areas.

  9. I think he could of articulated a bit more. I own a Tesla, it took me 15 mins to figure out to drive. The rest is all functionality. If you know how to use your phone, you can use a Tesla.

  10. AITO Huawei self driving is gonna challenge Tesla FSD. At least China, AITO fare better than Tesla. I see lots of AITO m7 street test in China in youtube. AITO just release S7 the BEV ver of M7.

  11. 98% of Tesla recalls are fixed by software update? Why didn't they get it right the first time?

As for FSD Tesla will fail for sure. I think Nio or xpeng will reach level 4 before Tesla. If it's reachable at all.

  12. Given that Goldman Sacks, has come in for significant criticism because of third quarter poor results “US-based investment banking company Goldman Sachs has reported a net income of $1.8bn, or $5.47 per diluted share, for the third quarter ended 30 September 2023, a 36% decline compared to $2.9bn, or $8.25 per diluted share, for the same quarter in 2022.” Tesla might be somewhat subdued in welcoming the vote of confidence, particularly when Charles Munger’s recently reported statement “Tesla last year reduced its prices in China twice. BYD increased its prices. We are direct competitors. BYD is so much ahead of Tesla in China, it’s almost ridiculous,” Munger said. It will be interesting to see who will ultimately proved correct, Munger or Goldman Sacks.

  13. hi Sam – I’m a Tesla investor but no longer all in. Tesla and it’s boss needs to mature before it starts really growing. A lot of BS is being put out by numerous commentators heavily invested in this stock but there are too many balls in the air right now. New factories to gain global domination in a concept is a huge risk, and with a PE north of 70 Berkshire will never invest here. Apple with all its problems has a history and a low comfort PE and great EPS with a dividend is why the smartest investor on earth shores up his portfolio with 50% of Apple. Let’s all get real here- when Musk grows up and stops promising and doubles EPS that’s when Tesla will fly. In fact the less he is seen or heard …that will help too.

  14. Elon makes the biggest claims and I think he is the biggest liar, in fake it to your make it mode. They have done well but it will never be a safe FSD. It could be a good support/monitor on the driver.

  15. 20 million Robotaxis can remove 40 million cars from the road. Imagine rush hour with 20% of the cars missing. Showing up to work at 7:45 instead of 8 am could save you a dollar a day. Living 45 min from work could become normal. Paying $12,182 to own a new car could be reduced to just $900 a year to rent one when you need it. Need a truck instead? Just pay a bit more. Need a van? Pay a bit more.

  16. The lead . . .
Tesla is only 7 years past due on the Roadster. So about that lead… RIMAC, Pininfarina, Lotus Evija, Nio EP9, Aspark Owl, etc., have all come out. What hasn't been released is that Roadster that was promised 7 years ago.

  17. For me, I would strongly advise that screen of the BYD. Staying 15 hours in a car, just to learn what a screen can do? ? ? ? .
I can do that at home in my comfortable environment gaming seat, behind my PC with 2 huge 32" screens, coffee and cake or a cup of hot soup.
I would rather point my eyes to the road in stead of a Tesla screen. Kinda unsafe, and when you do it in front of the house, or in a parking lot, it is even more dumb.

  18. Good on you Sam for saying how it is.I bought a Tesla model Y because of the technology and because Elon Musk designed it. He has been getting it right for a long time. A rocket ship to Mars arr nah

  19. A software defined automobile is the future of EVS. If the major manufacturers don't get their software thing together, they're going to fall ever further behind
