  1. It's true you did say "Volt". That's not a Chevy Volt… it's a Chevy Bolt. That's ridiculous. The Nissan Leaf and the Chevy Volt were two of the very early most electric cars available in the beginning. How could YOU not know what a Volt is and the difference between a Volt and a Bolt?

  2. Reuters has reported on the Florida action, quote has reported in the Guardian “A judge has found “reasonable evidence” that Elon Musk and other executives at Tesla knew that the company’s self-driving technology was defective but still allowed the cars to be driven in an unsafe manner anyway, according to a recent ruling issued in Florida. Bryant Walker Smith, a University of South Carolina law professor, told Reuters that the judge’s summary of the evidence was significant because it suggests “alarming inconsistencies” between what Tesla knew internally, and what it was saying in its marketing. This opinion opens the door for a public trial in which the judge seems inclined to admit a lot of testimony and other evidence that could be pretty awkward for Tesla and its CEO,” Smith said. “And now the result of that trial could be a verdict with punitive damages.” It will be interesting to see how Tesla proceed against this ruling.

  3. I'm for the right to repare.
In Norway we have free choice of repare.
Mostly the costs are to high if parts of the battery are damaged.
They showed in a program there in Norway that the companies tryed to push out a new car even if the fix was small and easy.
VW i.d. 4 was one of the badest in this series.
I hope that when we are going for the electric future, this will be fixed so the consumes won't get screwd over like the mobile phone companies does.

On top of this I look forward to a range garanty for cars.
I think 300k – 500k km needs to be a minimum range for all cars. This ensures that the environmental cost is minimized, and that the costumers don't have to pay for factory defects.

  4. Where is the valid data? I don't see anything shown/shared in this video. I feel a long form video in this matter made by the electric viking, coming up….!!!😀 Data sheets, tables and numbers, maybe a collab with Teslabjorn and BestinTESLA?

  5. . He said it only cost about $900 to get the stamped body of the car from Tesla but damn, you would have literally take everything off of the car —lights, wires, upholstery, windows, everything…And then put it back on, and then paint it, and that sounds cheap?

  6. Y does Tesla repair procedure for my Y require removal of right front fender, headlight housing, roof glass (destroyed on removal so new one needed), shoot paint for whole right side of car, etc., to the tune of $18,700, just for a small dent in the right quarter panel? If not done this way, supposedly Tesla's warranty for the body would be voided. Note: it's not the parts that are driving this stratospheric cost, it's the labor/procedure that require involving parts of the car far removed from the issue.

  7. Their parts are crazy money and the supply of parts in general are a nightmare. Probably one of the hardest parts of moving to an EV after lack of charging infrastructure for most people.

  8. If Tesla published all their parts prices on a website, then no one could overcharge customers and the price could be debated as to whether or not it is reasonable. If only all manufacturers did this!

  9. I definitely fall into the group of.. amazed how well my Tesla is aging.. better than any other car I’ve owned by far.. not perfect, a couple little things have come up.. but so much less than any other car I’ve had, it’s ridiculous. And I’ve had more than a few other ‘quality’ cars.

  10. You're missing the boat here…..NOBODY can work on the car when it comes to drive units and batteries because Tesla won't sell anyone the parts!!! The GM comment SOUNDS good, but not when you realize they'd be installing used parts with the same issues.

I own a 2014 MS, and the large rear drive unit went out and began throwing faults last week. Coolant is leaking into the unit, and it's a KNOWN issue. It was replaced under warrany 2 years ago. I live in AZ, so I have access to Gruber motors as a 3rd party option. But Gruber can't get a new unit or a reman unit from Tesla. They will not sell it. So options are 1) pay Tesla or 2) pay Gruber to put a used drive unit in it that's going to have the same known coolant seal issue. The same goes for the batteries…..they will not sell them. You can't pull up to the parts counter and leave with one!

  11. I never had a car company
Deny a warranty claim because I missed maintenance like an oil change. That’s ludicrous. I do most of my own maintenance and so the dealers would never see records for maintenance. At least in most states, owners have a right to repair and maintain your own car. That has nothing to do with warranty.

  12. You did indeed talk about the Chevrolet earlier… You called it a "Volt" then and you are doing it again now! It is BOLT!!
There is a genuine issue with Tesla PARTS. Which is why insurance for Tesla is so expensive. As there is massive delays and people have their cars off the road for weeks and months.

  13. Changing a battery pack is similar to changing an engine in an ice car, meaning it’s not something that most people will ever do in the lifetime of the car. It may happen in some rare occasions but normally it will over last the car
