We've succeeded in maximizing profit through technology for the overall benefit of a select few while intentionally undermining the crafting of virtue as effort to maximize wisdom throughout humanity for the collective good.
This guy is a very well-spoken person. What he's saying is significantly very true. You can read his eyes when being interviewed how intelligent he is and the answers he gives. Great informal individual we need more people like him 👏 👍
How about covering the "sinister side" of unfettered neuroscience research? The eventual discovery of how the brain stores particular beliefs or values could be weaponized into a tool of mass mind control (by using nanotechnology or a designer virus to deliver the payload into brains). That would be a catastrophic end to life as we know it.
But no one is paying attention to that risk. Years ago a "comprehensive" report was produced by a commission who studied ethical issues of neuroscience research, but it didn't mention the risk of mind control.
