  1. Love love the show so much! I listen to you guys while I’m working out every time and every chance I get! So sad to hear Sal is getting a vasectomy though, I though you were catholic being Italian. Marriage calls us to be open to life, children are a blessing from God. From the beginning of creation God calls us to be fruitful and multiply. Now there is NFP which can be 99% times effective. I really hope you don’t go through that Sal, God bless! Thanks so much all of you for the MP show!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

  2. The negative effects of partial reps you guys are talking about are associated with shortened partials aka ego lifting. Lengthened partials are the opposite in that they usually make the lifter weaker at first since the muscle is constantly stretched the entire rep. I literally never see people in the gym doing lengthened partials because most people avoid those deep ranges of motion entirely, much less staying there for a whole set.

  3. When you injure yourself, we all know the worst thing you can do is move in an odd way that heals in an ununiform way. Lifting weight is just injuring yourself on purpose to heal stronger. So partial reps are just injuring yourself in an ununiform way to heal in an ununiform way. That doesn't sound ideal.

I wonder if the body builders that wear corsets would also wear womens panties if it helped them win?

  4. Have recently found you guys and love the show and all the helpful insights you guys provide. I have been trying to get back to working out after taking a 5 year hiatus due to becoming a father as well as little niggling injuries. With the solid content and insights from you guys I am excited on starting back up my fitness journey.

  5. Started in the gym end of October, but have been following Dr. Jim Stoppani. He seems knowledgeable, but after listening to you guys, his info seems outdated and like it’s doing too much during 4-10wk programs. Looking to maybe change to MAPS programs beginning of 2024. Any recommendations?

For reference, I’m 5’7” 204lb male, and have lost about 10lb fat and gained about 2lb muscle according to a body pod test about 6 weeks apart. Currently at 32.1%bf. My RMR is 2109 calories, so I’ve been eating around there, which is about a 500calorie deficit from when I tracked for a week prior to dieting at about 26-2700calories a day. I haven’t focused on macros at all.

  6. Guys, cracking up that you segwayed from grassfed meat, tritip cooking tips to Sal getting fixed. Lol!

I am from Lemoore, south of Fresno. We love our tri-tip. The way we cook it is sear it, then low cook. Ravens seasoning from Armona, CA. I have lived in Cincinnati Ohio for the last 30 years.

I sear my BB tritip in cast Iron then in the oven. Delicious!

  7. You guys are always dropping serious knowledge. I've been lifting and training others for 15+ years. Every episode I listen too I get a new piece of info for both personal and client use. Thanks fellas 👌

  8. Guys, you are great!
Love hearing all your information. It is so helpful!
I've been listening since before Thanksgiving. And I bought 40 + (b4 xmas) to get my (somewhat healthy female) 61 year old body back into lifting.
I lifted for many years before covid and then switched jobs, and things went down hill from there. Luckily, I walk my dog a lot, so it keeps me in movement.
With 40 + I'm on prephase right now and working on form and consistency. I really need to change habits.
I would love to win or get Maps Asthetics after I'm finished with 40+.
Thanks for all your content. And it's fun listening to you guys.

  9. This show should be called muscle dummies instead of mind pump. I understand some controversial things, and well I don't advocate everyone should wear a mask, what was being said by these three is completely false. Next time you need surgery, ask the surgery team to not wear any masks and see how it turns out. I can't believe people are still this triggered by a face covering. Isn't America supposed to be the land of the free and the individual can do what they want? Feel bad for the kids taught by this guy's mother…

  10. How one performs or has the ability to be comfortable enough to perform or have the capacity in navigating a successful career based on access to financial support, mentorship, typical upbringing environments has a severe impact on the ability for alot people of colour to reach positions in companies. Having incentives that reflect percentages in society is a good idea if your trying to grow a industry and grassroot inspiration in communities who other wise wouldn't even consider can be a beneficial thing

  11. Thanks for all you do! I’ve been listening since there were four of you… so glad you decided to continue you three. You’re a great trio, so intelligent, and love how you’re so different , yet the same. Thank you!

  12. Doing my research and looks like your 40+ plan is winning! Hoping to start last week of Jan. Will be the 1st program in several years (was a yo yo dieter for years) looking forward to seeing if I have been on the right track with my routine etc…hope to get to maintenance after the 12 weeks! Thanks for the great info guys!! ❤

  13. I love the fitness focused content. As for the other topics regarding the history or race and racism in America — I’d love to see you all bring on an actual expert in that field to discuss. Experts on various topics are brought onto this platform, and a lot of misinformation is being shared on this specific topic in several episodes. It’s okay to have opinions, but let’s make sure they are rooted in historical facts and data just as we do with anything fitness related.

  14. My stepmom told me she watched a doc that said the higher protein intake was associated with cancer because cancer is made of protein. I told her most of our bodies are made of protein and water. So by that logic wouldn't we stop drinking water?

I also told her that people with a higher muscle mass have aless cancer rates and reduce ACM.

I don't know the name of the doc and she couldn't remember but i feel like there is a lot of misinformation, I can't help but to think it's because of the push towards a plant based agenda. And this same narrative will decrease the quality of so many lives based on fear.

  16. Muscle ups on rings are much tougher than from a bar. Strong shoulders and good pull-up strength are also key. Best I’ve done was 10 in a row, zero rest. It’s really best to just get someone to watch and coach you in person (the fastest path)…..my $.02

  17. The most terrifying thing about IBM is these jabronis are the people making AI. What do you think that's gonna look like in the future with a bunch of DEI quotas filled and a bunch of anti white nonsense programmed directly into it.

  18. Love the show fellas, l am suffering with tennis elbow and I think it could be due to short range of movement, I am in my first year of training and consistently. I train through the pain and some exercises are more comfortable than others for example: reverse bicep curls are a no no yet seated shoulder press are fine. I accept I'm causing more damage by continuing to train but I am an ex alcoholic and lifting is my vice now so any thoughts MP or in the comments?

  19. So I actually disagree with Adam about the point he made at around 25 minutes. I think it’s nuanced in the same way that fitness is because intellects like Jordan and Elon aren’t bored but actually stimulated because they have a passion to help the average “dumb” person understand their point of view. This might be naive but if it’s not true it’s definitely poking a hole in their mantra. I have a hard time believing that an ex-teacher would have this type of mentality. Now, if he was just a narcissist that would be an entirely different conversation.
