Everything is easy when people that have actual skill make it out to be easy.
In reality most of those components are so small that it is hard to see them, let alone solder them.

People that thing repair shops are ripping people off, well some probably are but try it yourself and see what you can do.
Like with everything in life. there are dishonest shops and shops that swap parts or steal components and then say they can't fix it, sure but for the most part you are paying for the knowledge and skill that you don't poses. Whatever it takes two seconds or 1h to fix your board, it is something you can't do and need to pay for someone else to do it for you.

I would 3D print nice enclosure for the Android phone and camera. When working it’s easy to drop the phone and it will probably land on protruding camera damaging it or the USB-C port.

Basic question, isn't 3.3V injection to high ? Isn't the safe limit usually 1 to 1.2V ?
