  1. Sorry for the redundancy for the first 6 months. Many of you waited very patiently for Volume 3, but I gave up on the separate volumes in favor of making the giant video. Hopefully that works 👍🏼

2023 was a good year for lost media finds. I think 2022 had bigger, more significant finds, but 2023 absolutely had some knockouts too. Let me know which year was your favorite 🙂

  2. Try to find the Robert Oppenheimer interview he did with Malcolm Muggeridge on the BBC. My grandfather told me about seeing it air and it was profound.

At the time, Oppenheimer was being investigated by his own government and was feeling the heat.

Malcolm Muggeridge was a catholic and asked him how it felt that he was, in large part, responsible for the murders of all those Japanese people.

My grandfather said that Oppenheimer was completely taken aback and nervously lost for words, completely the opposite of his usual stoic self.

  3. The most annoying thing is when something is believed to be fully lost and then someone finds it and uploads it online… only to be copyright claimed and taken down. If the company that has the rights isn't doing anything with it and pretending it doesn't exist that's just such a scumbag move!

  4. legit i know personally the creator of yo gabba gabba and to think that the pilot episodes were lost when i could have just asked him about them is mind boggling to me because i know for a fact that he would have gladly shared the pilot episodes

  5. One extremely niece lost media I hope gets found is Percy and the Ghost diesel. A small short made in a train simulator called trainz. The 2010 or 9 one probably. The original uploader says he doesn't even have the file anymore. But on the web archive you can go to the video, and its uploaded by a different person. So someone has downloaded it. Its really like under a minute. But for some reason all of us thomas trainz fans seem to have seen it once back in the day. I miss it

  6. 43:32 So I read the original script from reddit, but I didn't find the scene where Lynn's head rolls down the stairs, instead having a Valium bottle stained in her blood fall down the stairs. Maybe I read it wrong or missed it? Can someone confirm?

  7. I live for the day that at least SOME of the super-niche, SUPER-DUPER-obscure Playin' TV games from the early 2000s are ever uploaded online. Johnny Megatone man, I need my Johnny Megatone series back. The chances of anyone here in this comment section even KNOWING what Playin' TV was, are extremely slim.

  8. Rock odyssey reminded me of a couple pieces of lost media from my childhood. I’ve periodically looked for them over the years on YouTube, forums, etc snd I’ve only found a few people that even seem to know what I’m talking about. They were VHS tapes produced by Hanna Barberra from the mid to late 80s. They were essentially music videos for popular songs but made up of HB cartoons lypsynching the songs. Similar to AMVs but HB cartoons. I had one that was “oldies” and had songs like “Teddy Bear”, “Rockin’ Robin”, “Please Mr. Postman” and “The Boy from New York City”. Then there was a modern one that had “You Make My Dreams” by Hall and Oates and “Every Breath You Take” by the Police. I have no idea what the videos were called and I’d love to find them!

  9. A lot of these stories have someone purchase something online or find a tape or something that just happens to have a piece of lost media they recognize as lost. I wonder how many lost media are actually just sitting in someone's attic because they dont realize it's lost

  10. I’m willing to bet a lot of digital lost media from the 90s can be found on shareware shovelware CDs. A lot of them contain not just software, but early digitized video, audio and images as well.

  11. Hey, i'm the person who found the album "Sacks of people"!

Thank you for mentioning me, very gratefull to be apart of the lost media community!! Keep it up dude, love your stuff

  12. Jesus Christ, I had a nightmare about the Que sera sera recreation. My first ever nightmare, when I was 4.

That first part is horrifyingly similar to a nightmare I had when I was like 4, it was the exact same, started out with a young girl which then turned into an old, sad woman.
