  2. Becky have you made Chili and vegetable and other soups. Every Chili I make no on likes. However they all love Logans Roadhouse Chili so I have to buy mine lol

  3. If you don't want to bother with a knife and cutting board after cleaning your kitchen, green onions (and chives) are easy to prep with kitchen shears, which can go straight in the dishwasher!

  4. Hi Becky, new sub here. Just an FYI, my Winco carries Yakisoba noodles. They are stocked in organic produce open refrigeration section. They also carry Udon noddles too. Both noddle types also have a little flavor packet. I have yet to use it so I can't tell you if it is any good or not. Looked like the party was a success. Thank you for all your recipe ideas. I tried a stirfry like yours and really liked it.

  5. You said "boughten" twice as if it's a word; it's not. I'm surprised your English teachers didn't correct that when they heard you say it because (for teachers at least) hearing it is akin to fingernails on a chalkboard. Hope this helps! Part of being a "teacher" is being willing to learn!

  6. I think what I MOST admire about Becky is how calm and positive she is! You make cooking and baking look so easy. I really really struggle I want and need to be my biggest cheerleader. I’m so darn impressed with your positivity. I’ve said it before I’ll say it again you are such a kind gentle old soul🥰🥰

  7. Oh my goodness. So jealous of your yakisoba. When we lived in Okinawa, Japan we fell in love with yakisoba. We made it a lot. My husband actually cooked it. With bacon and cabbage possibly some onion but not a lot mostly cabbage and bacon. I am not sure what he used as a sauce other than I remember maybe a teasooon of sugar going in it. I’d have to ask him. That’s been more than 25 years ago. We can’t find it here where we live. Another staple for our family was taco rice. White rice topped with taco meat, cheese and lettuce with sour cream and we used salsa brava on it. Sometimes had tomatoes too. It’s yummy!

  8. I love those bobby pins! Funny story. Retired nurse, when i first started i had hair down to my bum. They requred it all up until i was helping a code one day and the bobby pins started shooting out of my hair 😂 after that i was allowed braids instead 😅😂

  9. I am a brand new sub to your channel and am loving the content so far. The extra long noodles often show up around this time of year for people celebrating Lunar New Year. The long noodles are for good luck and hopes for a long life.

  10. I got so many sweet potatoes from 1 sweet potato that I used to grow slips. I am in northern Florida and they thrive in the garden in the summer. They require little water and the greens are edible and delicious! The funny part of growing them is I kept finding more and more after I harvested originally because some grew deep in my garden boxes. It will be fun to see if I find more in the spring. I think you will enjoy the process. Thanks for your fun and positive tips and sharing your experiences.

  11. Plants like snake plants and aloe actually clean your air. And jasmine balances hormones so is good for the bedroom. I don’t know how to take care of jasmine, but aloe and snake are both drought liking plants so easy peasy!

  12. LOL, watching You put on outdoor shoes to leave and then indoor shoes when you come back reminds me of what you Mr. Rogers neighborhood. the only thing Was missing, is you saying won't you be my neighbor.

  13. You can freeze lemons and limes whole and just thaw them the day before to use in a recipe. They literally taste the same. I would have bought like 20 a piece at least and froze them. We use a lot of both!

  14. Becky!!!!!! Lemon curd is SO easy to make. You should definitely try it! And YES! You CAN can lemon curd. I don’t think it lasts as long as some other things. So it’s something I’d do a smaller batch of. But you can!

  15. I have those spiral ponytail holders on my list too. I like the fabric covered ones better than the plastic ones. I find that they don't stretch as much and feel nicer in my hair. I think I get the fabric covered ones at walmart maybe.
