When you flashed back to loading it in the barn, I seen that guy and was waiting to hear " Dan, DD Speed Shop here"
I noticed that vice grip has a member only channel he gets money from YouTube and than asks for more he is making more money than all of you guys all together and he never answers my comments I going to stick to morsky and shmoo
I do not know? But from my experience,,, a good auto repair book specific to the vehicle your working comes in real handy!!! I enjoyed your show as always. Maybe doing the research before and during is not as fun…. Headliner, exhaust, power steering pump, de rusting of under car and painting.
Hey I put a big block olds golden rocket 350 punched out .40 over with a 455 crank with a rebuilt turbo 350 in a 1984 Camaro and have it.
Money spent for learning… tuition touche’
Buddy had one of those with the TPI. he replaced everything on it and it still never ran right. Absolutely junk
That crunch when you lifted it the first time was the crush/push out of the fenders and it happens all the time. On the front they want you to lift on that frame area further in which is tricky to get at with a lift, driving over a small piece of wood on the front wheels helps to get a little more elevation. That one looks like a Z28, with an RS front bumper.
Tippy Tippy tap that rotisserie chicken lmfao 😂😂😂.
This breaks my heart, I love the 3 gen’s so much, but mostly for the Trans Am. Wish people did not treat them like crap. ❤ Still had a blast watching you troubleshoot, I don’t not much about the TPI, only dealt with the 82-84 CrossFire and that was a headache in itself. Thanks for another awesome video Mort.
I'm not a huge fan of the camaro, but GM really got it right with the design of this gen with the trim package. I'm with you I'd love to have a IROC a modern LS in it. Love that long hood they have. On a side note a neighbor had a 85?? Z28 with the 305. It was great to cruise in but it was a polished turd just stock. Great vid with all the southern engineering to get her running.
Get to work lol
Not a Chevy guy , but do Z28 really have single exhaust…what a POS
Well done Mortske. 😊
Just noticed it does have an 87 I Roc Z instrument, cluster and steering wheel 305 did not come out with a 145 miles an hour cluster.
I mean Ignition Module!!!!!
They go out a lot when sitting
TRY A tps!!!!
I have tpi. My car did the same thing after sitting outside. I went all over the fuel. I changes out a $14 throttle position sensor from amazon. Started right up
I think they put the 350 in 1987 and up my 85 had 305 HOURS
I've an injector pug with decent length of wire, I plug into the injector earth it then flash the power lead against a 12v feed (don't connect as you'll fry the injector as the are 9v) the extra jolt of power usually frees stuck injectors.
The rust in the tank would have been the first clue to get new injectors.
Install a snow plow on and a set of dog dish caps , Dan will buy it in a heartbeat lol .
I feel bad that you suffered a loss for my entertainment. I watched a second time to help you recover. Hope the 4 cents helps. If enough other people were to do the same, maybe you’ll break even by the end of the year. Peace.
Nice bitchen Camaro!
when you want some new ideas go watch zip ties and biased plies. that man made a vehicle pump work in a 5 gallon bucket. peg is amazing.
Bitter much….
1968 was the first year Z28
I had an 85 T-Top 305 Tuneport Z28 back in the 90's. It ran low 15's in the 1/4. I also had a 92 RS 305 throttle body, ran 17's 👎🤣
Honestly doesnt matter how experienced you are every once in awhile you take a FAT L. I feel for you mortske ive gone way out of my way and paid the agreed amount just to not go home with an empty trailer.
I love it when Duff just crashes the scene!
Not a big fan of that style of Camaro, but hey she don’t sound to bad! With a little elbow grease & time could be a nice rig! Looks like it’s Duff approved so it can’t be too bad! Hey, thanks for the ride and the Burn Out!
I picked up a 92 hardtop with a tpi 350. looking forward to seeing you do a 3rd gen.
Those things can also have security issues aka VATS they are just oh so amazing!!!! …. NOT!! lol btw that second connect on the throttle body is your idle air control
Yeah, well… the IROC put a smile on your frowny face in the end!!
I like it and I like the wheels as well! Nice!
I never cared for those cars, they rattled like crazy, despite that thanks for the video Sir Mortske. No complaints from folks this week either. Bonus.
Even though it was somewhat of an easy fix (not withstanding the physical labor), and you were on to it from the first start. These are the cars that require some thinking to fix. Knowledge of the systems and real troubleshooting skills to have success. Excellent video content. Please, more of these newer cars and trucks.
What's up w old poncho catalina
A few sammiches
Fuse for injectors
Ya a lowboy furnace down at floor level would make more sense than a furnace built up at the ceiling,,, heat rises and they still put a couple of furnaces up there? Go figure eh? lol
Pressure reg bad
Heck yeah brother
Between the 5 gallon gas can, and the Ford fuel injectors, not to mention it’s an 80’s Camaro, this might be the sketchiest, most redneck revival you’ve ever done. Only thing lacking was a frosty pressure washing scene in a pair of cutoffs. You clearly spent too much time in Oklahoma my friend. 😂😂😂
Not supposed to lift 3rd gen’s by the pinch welds. Even brand new, they are not strong enough to lift the whole car. You’re supposed to put the lift arms on the front frame rails beside the transmission and then the rear by the control arms. You lift them by the front pinch welds it bows the front fenders out and being rusty i’m surprised it didn’t go through the floor.
Never liked this body style. Anyone cutting a hole in a floor to switch a fuel pump shouldn't be touching tools. Helmet and crayons suit them better. 😂 I found out about the injector thing when looking up new ones for my 5.4l. Interesting video!!
Ah, fire with Mortske, like old times
Well done!
Shot paying more than a grand for that is mind blown you must be buying the shop on payments cuz just garbage nothing got about it
not a good idea to run them electric fuel pumps very much with no fuel in them, though. My understanding they are actually lubricated by the fuel inside them.
