Pro tip: Bring friends with better repair kits than you.
Great list of tools. 10 yrs ago we rode halfway around the world. Most indispensable on that trip was a cassette removal tool.
I don’t buy anything from Crank Bros anymore. QC is garbage, had pedals and a multitool fall to pieces within months, be warned.
A couple of bit and bobs I might add to my kit now. Thank you.
😊 I hadn’t thought of splitting my repair kit into lesser used items to stash near the BB. Thx! I’m curious why Miles and Joe prefer the big ole
rubber tubes vs tubolito style?
Who makes the frame bag on that Pivot? Thanks!
Miles with the affinity carbon tire levers ❤
Neil, have you ever actually spread super glue onto a sewn gash? I've never done that but it seems that glue would be too brittle as opposed to something more supple like barge cement or shoe goo. Just curious.
Some company needs to make a bery small and compact racebelt/fannypack with dedicated space for silca pump and dynaplug and cellphone!
Its getting lame to stuff all that shit in different places and switch stuff from bike to bike!
Wow, having the spare stuff, links, valve cores, spare 4mm bolts and a spare tubeless valve is genius.
Thanks for this comparison! One of the most useful things a recently added is a piece of old inner tube. You can cut it in rings, bands or patches to fix all sorts of things. As useful as tape or zip ties.

What type of thread do you recommend ? I am searching for a material that will not get to much damaged (abrasion, etc.) while rolling on sand, rocks and asphalt. Thanks
Have any of you considered using the tpu tubes as a spare tube? The packed footprint is just so much smaller than a regular butyl tube.
Had a thorny bush puncture my tire when I was riding in Patagonia AZ. I was going to pull it out completely but my riding partner suggested to cut it off at the thorn end and leave it in. He brought a leatherman tool. Thorn acted as a plug. Next day’s ride, I just added more sealant and kept the thorn in.
The father south you go the plants 🪴 get meaner !
I think I know which day this was filmed based on the cloud cover over the Catalinas, lol.
Most surprising was that you brought a Canadian, just kidding. I really think it was the sewing kit for the sidewall repairs. Neil channeling his inner Betsy Ross. I think the most important thing we can all learn from this is to pack (tweak) your repair kit for where you're riding.
Also, even the follicly challenged in Southern AZ won't venture out the door w/out a pocket comb. There is a reason we call Cholla "Jumping Cactus"
Funny how people prioritize different things. Another will done video. What do you think about this new tire tool the Tire Gilder ? Take care, Al
