  1. Biggest mistake I made (within a week of going independent) was doing an ancillary belt on a Fiesta, I got distracted and left a ratchet on the crank when I did a test start, we all know what happened next πŸ˜…

Anyways yea anyone want any jobs doing i'm nice and cheap 🀣

  2. Took my one year old 1.8 Focus to Dealers Ford Master Tech for the North West due to constant "knock". He assured me it was the VCT system that was naturally noisey and nothing to be concerned about. I then informed him that this particular engine doesnt have the VCT system…….Wouldnt trust "MOST" Main Dealer Techs with a push bike

  3. I paid Β£44 for a 5 litre,,of Mobil 1 fully synthetic…And there is a hugd difference in it compared to Comma or Drivetec ,,,the cold starts are much improved,,the engine is much quieter,,

  4. I did a few of these belts and even with the crank pulley tool to line up the reluctor ring, you sometimes have to reset learned values/adaptives in the pcm – otherwise the ignition timing can be slightly out and although the car runs fine, it stops the stop start function working (background fault codes)

It has been a while since I did one though, and I may have got away without resetting learned values last time πŸ‘πŸΌ

  5. A mate of mine who owns a garage did one of these cambelts when these engines hadnt been out long and did the same thing car wouldnt start one tow truck later to ford dealers and they couldnt get it to start either so he had it back and worked out what u said in video with the crank pulley

  6. awesome vid once again. biggest job i've ever done myself is a clutch slave cylinder on my old alfa 147. now got a megane 1.5 diesel 10800 miles never had a belt and water pump change do you thing with the tools it's something i could tackle myself?
