Cheap crap.😊
Why can't you just say the floorvent is for combustion air ?
Your nipple is not with a hose thread so whoever trys to attach a hose would not be able to. Thats a such a rookie mistake
He said nipple giggity
I had to replace one that was less than a year old that developed a thin crack running lengthwise through the threads
Get a pair of bull nose pliers. You will love them.
Add the sink and toilet stops that have thoses press on washers…. they're garbage…spend the extra $4-6 and get quarter turn stops (valves)….😮
And the homeowner couldn't fix that himself?
some bean counter saved the company that makes these 100k and is probably costing its customers 100mil in damages
The vent is for combustion air dummy
The heaters in the 90s and before way better. No stupid dielectric nipples and plastic boiler drains. And no over engineered gas valve.
Airlock. It’s called pulling a vacuum.
3 years old? Warranty? Yes, I think so.
Put that handle on there and get rid of that cap you put on there… that is a brand new valve.
Replace plastic with a boiler drain valve with a curved spout. Wish I had been able to find a full flow straight drain valve.
I just put in one of those pro flow full port hose bibs.
They dont just start leaking on their own!!!
Yea my high-school shop teacher told me about airlocking a tank, i was not quick enough, and then panicked 😂
Ya bro don’t use channel locks on the threads
Why does this dude want to create a bomb. That's supposed to be a pressure relief valve.
That hole going onto the crawl is combustion air for the furnace room
"Im going to pretend"
Good to know there are people fragile enough that some people don't use the exact right tool for the job. No harm or damage was done except for your fragile ego and work was finished.
There are so many things wrong with this video, please don't listen to or hire this guy.
Yeah nice job using your pliers on the nipple ruining the threads! 😂😅
The plastic drain on our water heater is 17 years old and still works
#BUILT TO FAIL!!!
You left money on the table , charge extra for draining and flushing the heater , heater is 3 years old it was due a flush .
I would write up and/ or get rid of anyone that's worked for me if they didn't useTeflon tape and are lazy and only use pipe dope.
Looks like your water heater is sharing more than just hot water – it's also sharing its secrets with the floor!
Yup. Rheem Hot Water heater. Lesson learned. Replace this when you first install it. Crazy.
