Kudos for having the guts to do this. It's def not for everyone. You have some good ideas on staying organized for getting it back together which can be more challenging than disassembly. I've done similar things on the screws, etc. You might consider taping down the paper in a flat oven pan or tray so it can be moved easily without disturbing the screws and also could hold various small parts in an order of removal, etc. And of course, use lots of light and take lots of pictures. A flat plastic spudger is good for not scratching or damaging things when removing adhesive tape, ribbon cable locks, etc. Ditto for tweezers. While you have it all apart, you should get some DeOxit fluid and use that on all the ribbon tape connections to ensure there isn't future connectivity issues. I'm sure you've seen the 12voltvids guy use it before. Get some. I've used it for years and it does make a difference long term.
