  1. Thanks Matt, Mike, and Dave !! This was a long Podcast/interview but there no time where I was tired/bored or ready to leave. Really interesting listening to what both of your lives consist of. Good to see you are back enjoying "my side of the country". I'm in Northern California (San Francisco Bay Area). The San Francisco Peninsula.
The "Stack" roadster. As in Robert Stack or ??? In case I'm wrong and/or you don't know the name, he was a actor most famous for his role in "The Untouchables".
"The Cow Palace" !! I grew up in that neighborhood until age 15. My first house was on the hill directly above the Cow Palace when I was 21. A housing tract called Southern Hills. Like the Cow Palace, right on the border of San Francisco in a town called "Daly City, Ca".
Some things that are "done deal" favorites on cars??? Painted Rally wheels with 40 Ford trim rings and disc brake caps. Check out my channel (Pappabob29) and "The Blue Heinz" playlist to see the wheels. Older Ford cars = 35 Ford Spoke wheels also with the trim rings and small center V/8 caps. Same channel "Old Hank" playlist (in progress project).
Thanks again for the great interview !!

  2. Thank you Matt , Mike and Dave for sharing this great history with me ! I really enjoy watching and learning stuff from you guys ! I've never had a old Hot Rod but always loved them ! Thank you guys again !

  3. Glad to hear Martinez story, I can relate trying to operate a shop right out of high school with a high school buddy until thing's got real expensive. Hard time's is what shut a lot of shop's down at the time.

  4. this was an awesome podcast and the story about you hood man hot rodders are just cool people helping each other knowing that part belongs to a historic car and giving it up just awesome and thanks Dave for sitting down with Matt and doing this

  5. Dave helped me thru the most difficult time in my life…..RIP J.P.! Passing the things you've learned to the next generation is the foundation of life. Dave I'm glad you sat down and shared your story, it took me down memory lane. As always good luck to you brother! Irontrap thanks for posting this…..good stuff!!!

  6. WOW. Ha. Incredible. Also man .. DAVID Z .. … would be a f#cking AWESOME INTERVIEW !!! Love David Martinez. Probably doesn't remember me, but how fantastic you two are friends. The Stack Roadster has a perfect caretaker. David Z has tracked down some of the rarest pieces. Stewart Warner electric fuel pumps, and a host of WWII surplus intricacies are the kind of things that will make the Stack Roadster going back together SO MUCH MORE SPECIAL !!! 😂😂 And the fact he knew who had your hood ?? MAGIC !!!

  7. Matt!! is there any way that i can get a copy or you could upload it or something private "Car that Ate my brain" i've been hunting for years trying to watch it but never found the DVD, cannot watch it on Amazon of all places, also can't on Tubi, because im in the UK it is region locked.
I asked Pier if i could buy a copy directly from him or he could upload it for me some place, didn't seem to care or didn't have the time. It's sad as something that should be readily available world wide isn't.
