  1. What a putz. Didn't even remove the rot. This on a support for a railing. Would have been easier to to the proper repair – remove it and install new wood.

  2. Did the stain bond? That's the question I have. I ripped railings off my decks and put on vinyl. So the band wrapping around the deck has holes from the old railings. It's going white, so I can't habe all these holes and got minwax wookfilller and I'm curious if the stain bonded. Was thinking of brushing a coat of wood glue over it so I know the stain adheres.

  3. Dude…..just replace the board, I can understand not wanting to replace a window sill high up, or roof facia board that has a slight blemish, but… A deck board right an eye level….. Comon man replace it

  4. How’d you get it to stain? I put some bondo wood filler to fill some rotted hardwood flooring and tried using some oil based stain but no luck (even tried with a coat of paint on top)
