Really solid review – glad the algorithm got me here and immediately subscribed
Waaaay too expensive. 60 quid tops.
Would you please compare this with Airpods 3 and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro
Could you do a comparison with the Apple AirPods 2?
Lenovo XT61B TWS EarBuds with Ear-Clip Design
TO COMPARE the design, and they are much cheaper – And I suppose with worse music sound –
I love the form factor here. The battery life is disappointing considering all the space they have in the behind the ear module. The lack of multipoint and the lack of wireless charging is also disappointing, but the real kick in the teeth is the lack of mono support. Missing all of those common features makes this a swing and a miss and that sucks because they do look so comfortable
It looks like shokz bone conduction headphone. I use that for 10 years for biking. Very good hear everything the music too and the environment too
"not sponsored" then proceeds to suck bose off for 18min
If you want to do comparaisons, please compare with other open ear and not with regular closed back iem with Noise Cancelling. Compare them with the Shokz Openfit or the Soundcore Aerofit Pro
Compare with bone phones aftershokz
Please compare these with the Samsung airbuds LIVE.
the oladance OWS Pro are the best open earbuds for me. alghough they look like a hearing aid system, they are very comfy (i wear them all day long for work and biking) and usually forget that i have them on. they support multipoint bluetooth and have pretty good call quality aswell. a comparison to the bose and sony would be very nice to see!
Compare them with huawei clip buds please
Mike please do comparison with Huawei Free clip!!
Airpod 3, and how it connect to iphone?
Freeclip from Huwei vs this ❤
"Quiet comfort ultra open" sounds like a contradiction of terms. Does that mean quiet for others near you?
Open ear "buds" (AKA: headphones) are sometimes called bone conducting, but they are not. Bone condition works quite well to transmit sounds, but it requires solid contact and more pressure than any headset or earphones would provide. I use an OpenEar Duet (sold under other names as well) for GPS navigation when driving my bus. It works quite well for that purpose, but the audio quality isn't good for music. (Very lacking in the lower frequencies) The microphone works well in a quiet room, but not so well in a noisy environment.
huawei freeclip
Have you try them on while sleeping?
I like the Bose ultra
Compare/Try OpenFit by Shokz
I’m wearing the Bose Open as I watch this video. My issues are abysmal call quality. People complain they can barely hear me. Also, with my iPhone 15 Pro Max with latest IOS, these won’t automatically connect to calls. I have to answer the call then change to the earbuds. They also don’t automatically connect to my iPhone and iPad. I have to go into Bluetooth and manually connect them. The button on the right I configured to switch between sources doesn’t do that with IOS hosts. This is absolutely ridiculous for Bose to releases something this bad. I have the Quite Comfort 2 Ultras and they don’t have these problems. On the positive side they are very comfortable and the sound quality is very good for open ear buds and I like the situational awareness of the open buds.
A note: why does half of what you say sound like a question? Quite interesting
Try to compare with Galaxy buds live
Can you compare them to Shokz Open run?
Very thorough review. Thanks. Good job! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
THX
This certainly will not be a successful product nor long lasting. The form factor is too weird and the lobe hook will certainly get damaged overtime with sweat (acidic) and environmental factors.
I hope that's good quality rubber, and it doesn't deteriorate with heat and movement.
Compare them to the samsung Linkbuds please. I have them and would like to know how they compare. The link buds are open just like these bose ones.
Bose, copied Huawei earbuds exactly the same
Earrangs
Its not new designe , bose copied them from Huawei, they have been out for 2 years
Can you have a comparison this with Shockz OpenFit earphones? Thank you!
Theres so much people here that didnt know that huawei freeclip is exist..
They think this bose design is original
How do they compare to the top of line Oldance? I am also getting about 16 hours of playtime, not counting what I have in the charging case for three more charges! The sound is incredible for open ear!
Like huawei clips
almost 500k!
Great Video, exactly my experiences with the Bose Open Earbuds Ultra.
Auto-Stop is not needed in my opinion. Due to the open design you better can press the button once than pulling the bud off your ear.
The price is hurting, here in Germany they cost 350 Euros. Thats 380 Dollars 😮
Greetings!
Most importantly how do they sound.
IMHumbleO, I'm not onboard for wireless charging. USB-C everywhere made this happen. The effort to plug-in is so minimal, and once you know wireless is half as efficient (you're using twice the electricity), I just can't pretend it counts as better.
Huawei Freeclip much more good
Sony Linkbuds seem to beat these in the way that they sound completely open but people cannot hear your music even at loud volumes.
I would be interested in how much these compare to HQ open back headphones, like the HD600, DT-770 and Fidelio x2HR, Does it give you the amazing soundstage and speaker like quality of those that are unmatched by closed back headphones? (Like perfectly spaced speakers that arrive to your ear sooner.)
The original donut shaped Sony Linkbuds (not the S version) are the closest thing to this, I love those because they are like open back headphones but people still cannot hear your music from the outside, I can wear them for hours with no discomfort (and I am an IEM hater—ear rapers) so I am eager for a side by side.
Compare them to Ultra Wireless, B&O EX, Momentum 4 and Sony XM5.
Is the sound better than B&O EX? Beoplay
I bought the Buds Live which undersold due to its quirky design, but its the only pair i use as it is so comfortable and no silicone going into my ear. This Bose is surely what i would perhaps buy next, thanks!!
