  1. Do we have other similar FTC agency ? in order there is a competition to oversee what they are doing. Because their goal is to ensure there won't be a small group who control one industry. That must apply to every aspect of field. Correct ??

  2. I'm glad that there are actually official eyes on what Amazon has been doing and becoming. There are so many fake/counterfeit stuff and downright illegal stuff sold there, it's almost like it's the part of the dark web.

  3. Small agency? With the backing of the most powerful government of all time? Look up some of the acquisitions in the U.S. since she has been chair. These are small time cases in comparison, it's a dog and pony show.

  4. Maybe if you didn't, as a country, push Apple's market enemies out, Apple wouldn't be 3 trillion $ company doing what they are doing. But you had to play favoritism on the market, you won! Congratulations. This is your prize!

  5. It's all very well, holding CEO's and companies accountable for gross infringements, but, the key is for regulation to prevent it every getting that far in the f'ing first place!

  6. "Youre not allowed to buy out your biggest competitor" unless youre a defense contractor for the US, in which case congress passed legislation in the 70s where not only is it completely allowed, but in fact its encouraged AND the taxpayers completely pay the bill for the merger. This is exactly the reason lockheed martin is the corporate power house it is today, even though the tech is mediocre. This is why lobbying and congress disgusts me.

  7. The problem I see with agencies that are supposed to protect the American people is they can seem as though they are selling protection to industry — not protecting the nation. Who watches them? If all she can point to is Pharma Bro, what are they doing? FaceBook regularly runs ads for counterfeit stamps. Who's watching the store? Are there really functioning agencies? Great PR, but is it anything but PR.

  8. So how do we bring this same anti-monopoly energy to the defense contractors? Because they are hurting Americans the most with those insane equipment and services cost to our government. And WE pay for it

  9. I buy from Amazon. Amazon has never abused me or treated me badly and I can buy the same products from a hundred other online stores for the same price. So, has she gone after ATT a true monopoly that has bought up so many other corporations and that fixes prices for everyone on communications?
