  1. Meta is actually becoming what we've always wanted for VR. They are doing the exact opposite of what we feared years ago when they changed the name to Meta. A-mazing.

  2. This is good we need more people working and putting stuff out for it and developing this the future jump in now if you are a game or software this a gold mine and just gonna get bigger

  3. If people are going to use the jack of all trades quote can we at least use the full quote because people only use the first half of it. Its actually a quote to say its better to be a jack of all trades. But people never use the 2nd part. The full quote is a jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one

  4. As a traditional gamer coming to VR very recently, an Xbox partnership that mimicked the Xbox button layouts would be very helpful for knowing what to press without peaking under my headset. I also think Microsoft could bring a little experience to controller development for Quest 4.

Open OS platform is wild and very exciting. I bet ROG will make a great headset. I hope I can afford it when upgrade time comes for me.

  5. Meta and monogon are slowly becoming closer together the more meta expands and explores

First it was a rebrand to a M name

Now Meta os vs monogon os

They both sell headsets for vr ranging prices

  6. While I think you're right to be concerned about there being different headsets for all the use-cases, the fitness-oriented example would be something I'd give serious consideration. No way in hell would I exercise in my Quest Pro, my Quest 1 is way too front-heavy, and upgrading from my Quest 1 to a Quest 2 just for fitness feels like a colossal waste given how much tech not aimed squarely at fitness is crammed into that thing.

  7. I want hardware options like with cars. I want my light, sleek, sports model and a big, feature heavy, utilitarian model. This is such great news IMO. One step closer to the Ray Ban Quest glasses. IT"S HAPPENING!!!! AHHHHHHHHH! (I'm overhyped)

  8. This is a warning shot to google who have refused to put the android play store on Quest because they are making their own mixed reality headset and have some companies of their own on board.

  9. We had a problem with the annoying head cursor for years. Since V65, at least from my own experience, I seldom see the cursor now (it is still there). Seems like they solve the issue after years.🎉

  10. Here's hoping one of these new third-party headset makers can make something even remotely similar in form factor to the Bigscreen Beyond. And not even for the standalone factor, but just for the inside out tracking. I'd be fine if a company made a "Quest" headset that had no battery and was completely powered by a PC if it means they can get a really tiny form factor with inside-out tracking.
