I’ve made the same mistake. I used duplicolor and even though it says reducing the paint isn’t required it’s best to thin it out anyway. I redid the paint job on my bike and used acetone to thin out the paint (4 to 1 ratio) and it came out flawless. It sprayed nice and even. It’s just too thick to get an even smooth coat and it clogs the gun. As for their clear coat, it’s just garbage, it’s hard to get a good ratio to mix I reduced and it still wouldn’t fully cure after a week. I went ahead and ordered some 2k clear coat off of Amazon from a spray can and It was 1000 times better. Since you’re doing a heavy flake I would suggest getting a better tip for your gun so it can come out right. I am a noob at painting but those things I figured out too late lol. Hope it helps you out on you respray.
