I finally did it!!! I bought this camera system over a year ago, I have been talking about it for over a year, so I figured I would finally install it while the weather is still nice enough.
I have been previledged to drive many RVs across the country over the years and on many of the nicer…

  1. James do you have any tricks to fix a ripped slide seal? I have a 2008 Lance truck camper with a slide. I opened the slide when the camper wasn't level. It ripped the slide seal. Lance can't help and I can't find the seal anywhere. Please help.

  2. Really enjoy your insight and your presentation. I know NOTHING about motorhomes but, my wife and I want to try out full-time RV life. Do you have recommendation for a used Class C or Super C for full time living?

  3. At 23:12 – I am a surveillance tech and for years we've spiced fine wires for analog video and audio/telco with low voltage sealant filled crimps, colloquially known as Dolphins. They can be no-strip if you want. Get the blue ones for gel-filled. Good for 16 to 24 gauge wire, and better than scotchloks or butt splices. Search for Dolphin DC (displacement connector) Super B wire connectors with sealant. Cost is about 10 to 12 cents each in bags of 100.

  4. I'm glad I ran across this video. I've got a 35 foot Class A that only has a back up camera and I absolutely hate it! I was going to put separate side cameras on it for night driving but it looks like what you just installed is miles ahead of that. I have that exact same radio in my rig but it has a different brand name. I'm going to scour Amazon and find a four camera system and install it on my rig. Thanks for the time you put into making this video, it helps me tremendously!

  5. You have way more patience than me, James.
I would live with it how it was personally before doing all that work and I do control wiring for a living anyhow lol.
    Thanks for sharing!

  6. I have the same exact radio and love it (thanks to your video). Nice to know I could add some cameras in the future. My wireless rear camera is OK i guess but as you said it's blinding at night and has a slight delay. Running a cable on my class C would be a real stinker but maybe in the future I'll get crazy one day and make it happen. Thanks for sharing James.

  7. THANKS for this James !!🎉 I've been looking for this type of camera system but did not really like the wireless type, for the reason of bringing in power or having to deal with batteries. Noticed the MPG reading on the dash 3.0 mpg really? Maybe need to clean injectors or is this normal? I would have thought you'd get closer to 6. CHEERS AND SAFE TRAVELS Steve h

  8. As usual, amazing execution of your RV Upgrade! Cool Forward Looking Infrared Tool!!! 🤩 That top down "Birds Eye View" is amazing and great way to bring visibility to the typical RV Blind Spots! Enjoy your new electronic! It was great watching the install!! ~Big C in the DP 📢 ::: Air Horn 📢 ::: ::: Air brakes! ::: 🚌🚌🚌

  9. Thank you for the video. I’m not a fan of this specific model for my use, but I’m glad you’re happy with it! Thanks for taking the extra time to film these installs for us. We appreciate your extra effort.

  10. That’s pretty sweet actually but not sure I could drill in the side of my Prevost. I have side and movable rear camera it is pretty good. But not as good as a Birdseye.🙈

  11. When I installed my pioneer touch screen 📺 n my Georgetown it had a camera input. But since I already had a large monitor and the cameras were clear I wanted to keep it. So installed a forward facing camera to see in frt of me for parking. Has worked great.
I do like this system and may be looking into it for my next R.V.

  12. So you're one of those morons that start your lane change and turn on your turning signal at the same time, giving adjacent lane cars no early warning of your intention to change lanes.

Arizona rocks the road rage genre!

  13. Excellent video.
But since you discussed night time, I hope to see a night time shot in the future. Maybe your next RV trip (if at night) some views rolling down the road. I think it would also be helpful to see some Buc-ee's parking lot navigation 😆

  14. Awesome video as always James. It's good to know that this can be added as my wife relies on it in her car and really wants it in the coach we get. Good tip on using existing wiring to the rear camera. How do you get access to the wall opposite the shower? I'm sure when I get my bus I will figure it out.

  15. Excellent job Sir. Wiring may bite but it is better than a delayed wireless image. Wireless between my garage and home is ok, but driving that 2 seconds is an issue. You make things so easy looking, I could never wire and set up a camera on a car in an hour, you really excel, lol. It looks good on your rig hardly even see it. Stay safe and healthy, hope you are getting out in the Beaver and spending time at your compound.

  16. I’ve seen commercials showing this kind of view on new cars and of course I didn’t think it was possible. You clearly showed me it is. So I enjoyed every minute of this video and it’s got me thinking. Thanks James.

  17. RVS(Rear View Safety) has a couple of quality 360 cameras. I installed one on my motorhome and it works as well as any factory one. It also records all of the cameras while they are on. They are a little expensive but so is the motorhome you are trying to protect!

  18. Hi James, funny thing I was just talking with my wife about this very thing. I was having an issue finding just the right system. Thank you. Great Job. I just have to find a suitable monitor.

  19. Well done, as always. Tempted to get something like that for my car. Would love to have had video recorded on all 4 sides when KS troopers pulled me over claiming I wandered onto the shoulder line, as an excuse to do a traffic stop in April. Quickly followed by a canine trooper whose dog of course alerted for drugs, when there were none. At least 4 cop cars, with 3 or 4 cops rummaging through my car on a warrantless search for about 15 minutes, finding nothing of course in their 30+ minutes of hassling me. So I'm thinking 4 front/inside dashcams for starters, one in each direction. And 4 externals for birds eye would be good too. Insurance claims or hitting a curb are the least of our problems with cops out there making stuff up to justify pawing through everything in your vehicle. I was lucky they didn't plant drugs, they were so intent on finding some, now that they have pot-loving states on both sides.
