My "leaving Windows" event was indeed the TPM req for Windows 11. There's a workaround now but I'm still glad I made the switch to Linux.

Couldn't agree more on the distro-hopping take by Brodie… I started my Linux journey with Arch… and I've stayed with Arch ever since, lol. It's just the perfect distro for home use.
Now in my homelab and at work I use different distros, but for home use nothing beats Arch
that moment of suspense when Brodie asks you if you use Wayland or not and the answer is a bit ambiguous at first
LOL the first question brought me back memories of my first hearing about Linux, from high-school mates. I was complaining how Windows seemed to always be busy doing something and I did not know what, and I wished I could just instruct the PC to only do what I wanted, and they told me, hey there are a couple of students coding a system like that in a university somewhere. That was 1997 I believe. Somehow it is great that so much has changed, and somehow it is disheartening that so much has not changed, or changed for the worse, in the desktop PC space.

I jumped from Win10 to Debian + DWM, that was quit a steep learning curve. I was also learning English and web dev at the same time. I had the most fun, now there is nothing useful to learn, I'm kinda depressed; no purpose to keep pushing.

Personally I prefer to stick to a tiling for GUI, and SSH+tmux for remote development
Switched to GNU/Linux 5 years ago. Still on the same arch install. When I broke it doing something dumb. I forced myself to fix it.
I started dipping my toes in at Ubuntu on an old laptop that run like crap with win 10. Since getting my steam deck and using Kde plasma, i'm actually really enjoying it. Im either gunna hop into kde plasma or waiting for the steam os release. I mainly game on my pc, but I'm just waiting a little bit longer before i do the switch. Feels bad about anti cheat though, still play fps games with my friends 🙂
Drag and drop only works 30% of the time & you have to drag VERY slowly across transitions, but hey let's make the Wayland session the default across all distros.
Do more videos on DaVinci Resolve on Linux, please. Thanks Mike. Any updates on using or setting up of DaVinci Resolve on the new Fedora 40 with Wayland KDE plasma?

PopOS gives you the option to have a visible dock along the bottom or not.
It also gives you the option to have the dock spanning the entire bottom or just as long as it needs to fill your apps.
It gives you this option by default prompt upon setup. Very user friendly for beginners.
And you can customize the size, color, and shape as well afterwards.
