  1. Hey peeps 😊 Trying my best to mix it up a little bit with other devices, so apologies if my knowledge isn't exactly up to scratch, but that's exactly what this channel is about at the end of the day. Thanks for watching as always, and I hope you have a great week 😊

  2. Hi Joey, Can you possibly update your links to include the two different types of flux you use? I thought I saved the links you gave in a previous video, but can't find it now! Keep up the good work!

  3. Don't really know if anyone else has said it already or perhaps I'm not seeing it right but it seems to me that the trace between the mosfet and the resistor you changed was gone.

  4. Thats a thing from DJI. FIRST try connecting it to ur phone and the app, and do an update. all components in dji stuff is communicating with another, the battery too, if the bat is on a wrong firmware it maybe wont charge because of that. allways if u change something in dji devices, make an update

  5. I'd avoid using the Nintendo charger. had a phone that would go haywire with the nintendo charger and also busted a small USB-C device with it. not sure if it's some crazy stuff Nintendo does to their chargers but I have a few devices (USB-C) that refuse to charge with the nintendo charger.

  6. On every stream you say you’ll end it at 5pm because you need 30min to clean. If that piece of glue was still there after a month, let me tell you, I don’t think you are doing a good job cleaning… 😂😂😂

  7. personally hate lego connectors, because you cant see if they are going in right, you can only feel..until you've destroyed the connector without knowing..

  8. Have you tried charging it from using a usb port on a computer? for some reason some of my cameras won't charge from a wall socket but charge fine from a computer usb port.

  9. I have the same device (DJI Osmo Pocket 1) and when I charge it, green light blinks three times in succession and there is a pause, while it is powered off. at 50% state of charge of battery, it draws 1.89 Amps while charging (the same whether it is one or off). I hope this information helps troubleshooting your device further.

  10. Glad to see i'm not the only one that accidentally ripped a ribbon cable this week.
the iphone 7 plus home button and top speaker were my victims glue was horrendous.
had to go on a walk

  11. Lovely to see you attempt something different. I had to laugh when after tearing the ribbon cable you point out how thin the wires are whilst prodding them with a sharp knife🤣I would try charging the battery independently of the camera then you will know if it's the battery or charging circuit at fault. Keep up with these thoroughly enjoyable videos.

  12. Hi, this maybe nothing but I noticed the track to the gate of the mosfet looked a bit suspect as did the solder joint to that pad (Maybe the lighting?) but the track itself did look dodgy to me, the same track with that resistor that got pulled off.
I also have a Osmo pocket that I have changed the battery on though the buttons mine now seems to have an intermittent fault a bit like when a computer gets too hot and tasks using the keyboard and mouse are hit and miss, quite odd but I will be checking that out soon to see what I can find. apart from the intermittent problem with the buttons it seems to work ok.

I too like others think a previous attempt was made to remove the battery resulting in the ripped flex cable, I don't think it was your fault! those batteries are certainly a pain to get out! also that current seems a little excessive at times, when charging my camera it draws approx 1.2a and the green light will light bright then fade out and fade in again to bright green and repeat, kinda like a slow breathing.

  13. Aw man. You streamed too early in the morning for me. I'm getting my day started and I actually enjoy watching your streams I can't just have it on in the background. You got to either make a highlights channel for your streams and pay somebody to edit it or something. You could do so much more and you're spreading yourself so thin

  14. I've ripped the battery ribbon on a device before. Funny enough I was trying to see if the battery was bad. I went through the painstaking process of re-soldering the ribbon cable together to find out that the battery actually was bad. But at least I knew.

  15. I see two things you can try here. 1. The little resistor when you measured it showed 11 ohms for a fraction of a second. It may be that your 20 ohm is too much? Tricky because halving a resistor in a charging circuit could let the magic smoke out. I think actually that the loose resistor was the original fault and your first repair attempt didn't properly attach it. 2. You may have a wonky battery. You could try briding the original battery and connector with wire and see if that at least gets the thing charging properly, even if the battery can't be used with the enclosure closed. Optionally, the battery connector is not making proper contact which is causing the charging IC to not get a reading from something integrated with the 2 cells to help the charging IC charge the battery properly. See if there is any logic in the aliexpress battery?

  16. When I did my first retimer, the chip flipped off, I later realised I lost resistor, I decided to check the old retimer just to see how much solder they have on and found the resistor soldered to the underside lol

  17. Thought you had it beat. Yeah, bad battery, battery management ic, fuel guage ic (if there is one)? Wild. Great Attempt and Video! Thank You Bunny Suit Joey! 😀
