On Dex:
– many of you mentioned that I completely forgot to mention Dex. I did not forget. Me and my team decided to intentionally leave it out, to make the Software comparison more straight forward and easier to understand, as there are simply a ton of differences and we wanted to avoid this turning into a 30minute video that a lot of you might have gotten bored with.
That was a mistake. We should’ve mentioned Dex.
However, it doesn't actually make a big difference when it comes to using the Tab S9 Ultra.
There are 2 DeX modes now. New & Classic
– New DeX looks the same as the regular UI, just with a redesigned task bar. The only advantage to this is that any app opens up in a window, rather than full-screen. Without activating New DeX, you can still achieve the exact same thing, by dragging an app to the middle of the screen, for it to open in windowed mode.
– Classic DeX is the one that most people are familiar with. This requires a restart and it lays the icons on the home-screen like on a laptop. It also redesigns the task bar to have a clock and look very similar to a Windows taskbar. However, you don't actually get any extra functionality other than this.
Most of the DeX functionality is already built into the Tab S9 Ultra's default UI. And Samsung themselves are also very much aware of that, as there is almost 0 mention of DeX at all, on their Tab S9 Ultra product page (it's also mentioned briefly at the very bottom).
Therefore, while DeX lets you open up apps in windowed mode by default, Stage Manager does the same and it is more powerful as it gives you the side bar preview on the left and easily lets you switch between groups of apps. DeX is better and allowing you to resize windows however you want though.
Still, neither are actually laptop replacements and you can get a far more capable laptop, for a similar (or even lower) price.

2. No mention of Dex when Stage Manager was called out.
3. No mention of S-pen not requiring a charge to operate. YES The S-pen only needs to get charged if you want to use the bluetooth Air Actions features. But if your main goal is to write, you do not need to charge it.
4. Tab S9's aspect ratio is a more familiar one as it is close to the working standard 16:10-ratio This means better media and content consumption given that most content in social media and entertainment follow a 16:9 and 16:10-ratio.
5. Tab S9 Ultra still supports built-in expandable storage.

You are comparing a tablet from 2023 with an iPad from 2024😂. Last year's iPad was way inferior to the tab

This review is a JOKE. The difference in terms of thickness is completely unnoticeable, and for almost $5000 CAD, the Ipad "pro" is a glorified netflix display. Man, don’t play like that. The galaxy tab is an amazing piece of tech with few limitations.
Stop complaining that he didn’t mention Dex. Dex is just a change to the UI. Dex doesn’t give you more power, doesn’t give you better benchmarks, doesn’t allow you to run pc apps or nothing. Same tablet just a different UI. Y’all act like Dex mode lets you install unreal engine or something.

The frustrating with the SAMSUNG is the keyboard options are garbage. I want the apple keyboard for the Samsung, but it does not exist. I can put the apple IPad in my lap and type but unable to do the same with the Samsung. What cannot they make a decent keyboard.

well as others said dex missing , also s9 ultra is last year need wait for new one ,then ones ipad os and ones android so if not into apple for reasons , how can say better if put ipad to ipad then its about whit is better or android to android so ……..as i am android and windows that wat would choose is s9 not that apple and the speaker test i think to my ears was better than apple ,…………so as others said your an apple fanboy sheep ……….so there are both best on os system of choice plus one is new and one is older so still not great video in how done things ……need list everything it can do not choose what you think makes better
