just be mindful if you say yes to "speak in public" don't back out if you're called for a hearing. This will help ASUS case, not yours.
Nobody buy Asus products anymore. Simple as. They did this same thing last year and made a bunch of promises. They don’t care. Don’t give them anymore money
This consumer activism work is absolutely vital, GN Team. Thank you so much!
I've had two ASUS TUF computers that barely lasted past the warranty date and one that quit before the warranty and they tried to deny me until I produced receipts. I'm done with them. System 76 is just as bad.
Would never buy ASUS trash in the first place
such companies never stop being shit they just start to spend more resources to cover how shit they are and they continue it untill they bankrupt
I wonder if anyone will claim that GN's efforts won't make a dent now.
I also get scam in italy from asus, i recived a defective product, i ask for repair, they make me playing for that and dindnt fix the problem…
When will asus acknowledge the sd card issues? Should have been a recall. Problem is that even after a successful RMA most people on the forums are saying the sd card just fails again anyway. As the replacement board has the same prone to failure capacitor. Also extending the warranty in US only? UK customers are facing the same issues and our warranty stays at 12 months?
Fractal sent me a replacement pcie riser for my Ridge case with fast international shipping. I'll totally buy from them again.
Open up your own company I'd buy from you only
If ASUS doesn’t resolve this, my Zeph M16 is going to be the last Asus product I buy.
I am currently experiencing difficulties with my Asus monitor, which I purchased within the last 30 days. Unfortunately, I am unable to return it to Amazon due to their 30-day return policy. I have contacted Asus for warranty support, but they have repeatedly rejected my requests for repair or replacement. Despite providing a video of the malfunctioning monitor, they have requested additional evidence, such as connecting it to another device with a different HDMI cable. I have already attempted these troubleshooting steps without success, but Asus refuses to provide a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) for the product. As a result, I am facing a potential financial loss of £300. I am seeking guidance on how to proceed in this situation.
Asus this…Asus that….Drag it out for all its worth guys..
32:58 bro it's good an all that ur fighting for the little consumers but why americans always bring "democracy" into the equation. Like, ya'll talk as if there is literally no consumer rights outside 'merica or in any country that's not a "democracy" or something lol.
Never had GamersNexus on my radar, but this organised approach against dirty warranty practice catapults you into a very special league of accessible customer representatives. Very well done!
This is the least productive Congress in history so I wouldn't get your hopes up about something passing.
Again, I love this kind of content; keep it up!
22:56 Sony and Nintendo? I totally, totally out of this world did not expect them😏
Thank you for making this video. I hope if possible you can produce more consumers protection video and how to utilize them, or like the Asus video add a segment to instruct how to report these bad actors to our government services.
10:20 we need more citizen to use our government services, remember we already paid for them.
While I am not personally affected by this, I am glad to learn to avoid asus for any of my future purchases, along with exploding gigabyte PSU,rip off copycat case makers, and Newegg scumminess.
The answer is not more legislation, most business owners will tell you there are already too many laws and regulations. The simple answer, that is also quicker and with no burden to the taxpayer or good businesses, is to just stop spending your money with the bad business.
fuck Asus for life
Buy MSI
Fines should be twice whatever the profit was or the potential loss in cases like warranties.
Even car mechanics will tell you what they're going to scam you with before they actually do the work and make you pay.
We hate it if you not buying a new motherboard for decade, so we give a little surprise in bios setting and apparently its voiding your warranty, we hoping for your next buy thanks – asus
lol, iv just done a full strip and rebuild including cpu water block of a custom non aio alphacool loop thats in my pc first time in 6 years and that's just what happens with water and copper. it was running dry and full of sludge
Did I dodge a bullet? My Asus laptop's keyboard got temperamental, several keys just don't work properly, impossible to type a full sentence on it. I never sent the laptop in, simply because I use it everyday and just use an external keyboard. It's my one PC, I use it all day, missing it for a few weeks or months defies the purpose of having a computer. It's getting to the time of finding a replacement (maybe a gaming laptop this time, worth it if I will only try sim racing with it?), and sadly Asus has some great specs. For now, I need to give them a pass I'm afraid.
I bought my Fractal Torrent specifically because of how well they chose to handle the warranties for the fan controller. I wont buy another ASUS product again.
Cheers for the work GN does – you're keeping companies honest because of how no-bullshit you are. Gotta order one of those build mats as a thanks mates!
Recently had an Asus board die on me after one year of use. Took my CPU with it I think. And I was unknowingly running their bullshit OC profile in the Bios. You know the one that jams too much power into the CPU and cranks up temps? Yeah now I'm running strict intel settings with a slight undervolt. I got a replacement board from them and a new CPU from Intel. But mark my words if in a year this board goes out. I'll be completely done with Asus and Intel forever. I will go straight to AMD and Asrock and stay there forever.
It's not just the hardware side. Look at Sony and what happened with Helldivers 2. Companies have gotten away with pushing PC users around (gamers especially) for far too long, all because the consumers have not banded together, until recently, and offered some form of pushback. Now this is starting to happen, and as it gains momentum, you watch the amount of companies capitulate and fall over themselves trying to win their customers back.
It isn't just the ROG Ally that is the issue — Ask ROg Zephyrus G14 owners about their motherboard issues. It seems like Zephyrus owners are suffering motherboards going bad just past the warranty of 1 year. Yeah, it's THAT bad.
It's sad because Asus used to be the brand…. It's a shame they cut coners for slightly more profit to lose all it's costumers.
