I have tried SOFI and Ally, but prefer Ally Bank for my online bank. I don't like banks saying you have to have a direct deposit in order to get a higher rate. My main bank is PenFed Credit Union which is local and gives a decent premium savings rate of 3% as of now.

I prefer Ally over Sofi, as they don’t require direct deposit.
There money market account comes with a nice looking debit card.
