  1. Completely disagree on Metroid Prime 4, this game has had a super troubled development and financially it is likely that canning it was the best decision for Nintendo, but they kept the development going to fulfill their promise to the fans, not because they want to make this game the next Zelda type breakout. If this is just more Metroid Prime I don't see this game now selling like Kirby, but I also don't think that is what Nintendo expects. But who knows, maybe there really is a revamp but given the troubled development of this game I highly doubt it. If it's just more Prime I'll be super happy, because it's not like we get those kind of intricate interconnected worlds type of games that often (Not even Souls are like that anymore), but I'm completely open to them trying to change the formula, I just feel it's unfair to say that this better be a complete revolution to be worthwhile.

  2. Man, the warriors in these comments are something else. Don’t sweat it Damiani and co, y’all have very reasonable takes here lol.

  3. watching you idiots moping and complaining over metroid prime fills me with anger. i get that it looks very samey but no shit, its a follow up to prime 3. a continuation of the prime series ffs. real metroid fans are just happy to continue the story . not everything gotta be BOTW. you guys dont deserve to play metroid

  4. I didn't grow up playing much Metroid. Played 1 and 2 when I was in my teens on Gamecube. They were good. Nothing amazing.
I ended up trying Super Metroid later and found it a MUCH stronger game than the 3D games.

The problem is that Metroid is no longer the best "Metroidvania" in my eyes.

    Hollow Knight is.

Metroid Dread doesn't reach those heights.
And there are many similar genre games out today that do the exploration/item locking better.

I'm confused why there is hype for Metroid Prime 4.

  5. If I could get a complete collection, it'd be the Neo Geo Pocket Color… because I have it 😛

Yes, I take ever opportunity to flex this. I have ever US released game complete, plus Fasalei! and The Last Blade (which had their US boxes destroyed before release and the carts were only bundled with other carts in blister packs that were sold at places like EB Games). Plus complete UK copies of Cool Boarders, Cotton, Evolution and Dynamite Slugger, and carts of Picture Puzzle and Pocket Reversi (the latter two I've only ever seen the boxes for once in my life, and in a $20,000 eBay auction). PLUS complete Japanese copies of Ogre Battle, King of Fighters Battle de Paradise, Card Fighters 2, Delta Warp, Big Bang Pro Wrestling, Cool Cool Jam, Densha de Go! 2, and Rockman Battle & Fighters. I started collecting for the NGPC shortly after it's discontinuation, and bought all but one or two of the Japanese games like 20 years ago, well before the prices skyrocketed.

I'm also unintentionally close to a complete US Dreamcast collection (also with select PAL and JAP releases), and really only have a few shovelware and crappy sports games to go. Maybe when I have more shelf space. This is another console I was buying and trading for when it was discontinued. I couldn't imagine collecting for it now.

  6. Idk my thoughts on Prime 4 are "if it ain't broke". I don't want them to reach for some crazy new thing and fall flat. I'd rather have a safe but tight and amazing game with some amazing new environments.

  7. The inconsistency of xbox releases physical/digital from Limited Run and them being expensive to ship to outside the US, is so frustrating. Also why are Ubisoft not doing their own physical release for Beyond Good and Evil?

  8. Yeah in SOTE there's one huge area that is SO hidden with no visual hint whatsoever on trying a thing in a particular spot to access. 0% chance I'd find it without looking it up. Not the first time that's happened though

  9. I was waiting for DKC Returns HD since Tropical Freeze. I have TF for wii u and switch and I didn’t play it because I just can’t play the sequel without playing the original
