  1. Great as always Tony! I'm glad to see you're using the Sea-to-Summit pillow.. Ditto. I've developed my own hiking philosophy which I should perhaps market with some catchy acronyms & who knows, this time next year I'll be a millionaire? My latest self-appointed acronym is HNSPa (Hydration, Nutrition, Sleep, Packweight). We see thru-hikers on YouTube banging on about packweights of sub 6lb, but many of them seem to think they can subsist on Raymans noodles, jelly babies, pizza and sleep on a 1/8" sleeping pad. Great. But the law according to HNSPa ensures you're hydrated first, nutritionally sustained with carbs, proteins, vitamins, minerals and micronutrients.. these are the priorities, followed by QUALITY OF SLEEP, ie. a sleep system that allows us to fully sleep comfortably for 8-9hrs to let all those micronutrients repair our cells as we dream. THEN, packweight. Packweight comes 4th after Hydration, Nutrition and Sleep. Take care of the first three and a 10kg pack will feel like a 5kg pack. Eat crap and sleep unwell and you'll feel crap regardless of an ultralight backpacking set up. That sub-6lb pack will feel a burden.

Here's to more of your belches Tony! ๐Ÿ˜Š
