China Rapids on the Sacramento River is a norrow section with rocks sticking up in the middle of the channel. I fell off my tube and bounce along the bottom for a good 200ft. I finally surfaced next to my tube and scrambled to get back on.
Dusty Dodge just laughed and said "I told you he'd be okay. Mexicans float!

They banned tubing on our river. Too many needles from the city people. They nod the whole way.

Thank you!! It’s a shallow river but it’s also taken many lives.. I never knew someone was down there for those guys who get so drunk and go way beyond the safe zone!

For those wondering why the sheriffs office had to get involved.
The man was obviously heavily intoxicated. A lot of people go float the river and get way too drunk and pass out.
A few miles down the river there is a large dam. Had the deputy not responded the man would have gotten to the dam and would have either been sucked under or pushed out one of the chutes.
Also I’m sure the tube company wants their tube back. . .
