Your failure analysis for 3.3V (troubleshooting) in my particular opinion is impeccable (correct) and since 3.3V powers many components on a laptop board (it travels or moves) to many areas or sections. If the Chipset (is running excessively hot to the touch) then the game is over. With a thermal camera we would probably see a hot spot or area, generally in one of the corners or on one of the sides of the IC. The five comments (so far) from colleagues say it all (I love their participation). Chipset failures will unfortunately continue to occur. Thank you very much for sharing. All the best.

As in one of your past videos, shorted 3.3 is usually a very bad outlook for the repairability of a motherboard.
There are no failures if you (and we) learn something from the diagnostic process.
good job at least you get experience.
