  1. As big of a Star Wars fan I am, the Borg is one of my favorite villain groups out there, can’t wait for them. I am assuming those are some of the ships that may have to be on the sliding scale.

  2. Have the rules for the preview kits every been posted. The website for the weblink in the kit is not up. Does anyone know where I can get the preview kit rules?

  3. Thank you so much for this, i'm very exciting about this game, hope there going to be Events running by stores… Wanna join! live long and prosper

  4. Got to try this out at Adepticon. As a huge Star Trek fan, I can attest that this is super thematic. I and the other guy who played the demo with me had the opportunity after our game to spend a lot of time talking to Michael after the game you could immediately tell he was a true Star Trek fan. So important and love that there is more than just pew pew in the game.

I hope the community that picks this up doesn’t fall into the trap of just only playing this in tournaments and lose the narrative/theme aspect of the game.

    Really looking forward to this!

  5. "Starfleet ships don't operate like carriers, with lots of little craft that they shoot off for battle." Yes, well, someone forgot to tell the incompetent hacks that wrote Star Trek: Discovery about that. A breakdown of the battle scene in season 2 showed that the volume of shuttlecraft launched would completely fill the interior volume of both the Enterprise and Discovery two and a half times.

(Then again, this is the same schlock that gave us the infinite Tardis-like turbolift realm that couldn't possibly fit inside the ship, and "screaming at dilithium destroys it all.")

Nu-Trek really does suck. Please don't feel the need to make any ships from Discovery or Strange New Worlds, guys. Let them expire in a corner, alone and unloved.

  6. This is so exciting and I'm glad to see the FFG guys who gave us so much fun doing well! The crew basis for this is particularly cool since it sounds like it'll solve the biggest grumble I had about Attack Wing, the way it played like a mashup card game, min-maxing, ending up with Picard and Dukat commanding whatever the most powerful ship is with no reason for them to be together with a random Mirror Universe crew and a Klingon pilot. The non-combat elements sound really neat too. So many games have just "do the mission action" sorts of things and that you have to get your sensors lined up on the other player and all the rest could make that so much more fun. With what the minis seem to look like too I'm super excited for a D'deridex! Though canonically they were so much larger than the Galaxy class that I wonder how they'd do that since they never really showed it that way on screen. Thank you Crabbok for this interview!

  7. This looks stellar, I'm itching to open that first box. I absolutely love the mission structure, BUT I really want a points-based wargame variant to be officially built in. I have trouble getting pure campaign games to the table with my playgroup due to the time commitment. As long as we can ALSO play sessions that are more like traditional Armada throwdowns, i will be a happy camper indeed.

  8. I like the depth but I hope the games tactical combat holds up as well. Then people could make it more or less what they’d want it to be. I think it’s a win win if it can cater to all types. Especially considering the lack of any game like it in active development anymore. This all poises Wizkids to really keep knocking it out with this game and even attack wing which is still getting releases.

Sometimes just outliving attrition can lead to prosperity.

  9. Speaking of the ships they will produce, I wonder if a Constitution class ship will be produced? It was never in TNG, DS9 or Voyager. But it would be a ship I'd love to have.
