With a timegrapher, you can know instantly if the stud movement increases or decreases the beat error. I don’t see the necessity of removing the rotor etc.

Not sure what this gentleman is talking about. Under no circumstances should you remove the rotor or any other parts. It is normal practice to adjust beat error just as you do with adjusting if the watch is fast of slow. I've done it a dozen times on seiko movements. Other videos show you how.

Good video for getting an understanding of beat error. If anyone would like to regulate a watch a timegrapher is an absolute must, for just over £100 it’s fantastic Weischi 1000 is what I got, just great.

Thanks for uploading this, you helped me understand quickly how that lever operated, which in turn helped me sort out an old Seiko 7s26 movement that just wouldn't regulate. O and don't worry, they're not shaky hands! 🙂

I have just set my beat error and rate with an android app called watch accuracy meter.
It seems pretty good to me, but when I put the case back on things seem to alter.
This maybe because the microphone is not picking it up
Very well, or maybe the movement ring is distorting the mainplate somehow.
It's a watch that I put together myself with a fairly inexpensive watch case, so I will see how it goes.
I was told always adjust the beat error first before the rate.
I presume that this is correct?
If your watch is keeping time- leave it alone. If your watch is running fast or slow, regulate it. If it's then running correctly but beat error isn't perfect – leave it alone
I didn't realize how small everything is in real life. I've seen so many videos but when I finally opened up my watch I could barely see anything 😂

Being someone who just loves to tinker with things, I frequently move the OTHER lever. Because I sometimes find it a must especially for pieces that stop running without any apparent issue.
