1:20:42, that kickback on the starter sounded exactly like mine when the headgasket went and I got water in one of the cylinders, hydro locking it.
I learned how to rebuild carbs and quadrants are way better then any Holley or edelbrock I’ve ever ran took a holly carb off 400 and it ran way better with a 850 quadrajet I redid

OH, I thought Redfield was known for its PEASANTS.
Back in '77 I purchased a Holley Economaster carb to replace a Quadrajet that I managed to warp the throttle plates. The fuel mileage went from 10mpg to 12mpg. Ran great for what I needed . I thought the new carb was fantastic and was half the price of a Quadrajet replacement. Was still on the truck when I sold it several years later. The truck was a '73 squarebody with a 350cid.

So, I have a ‘79 short bed step side, Scottsdale trim. When new, it had similar stripes on the hood. So, I’m betting those hood stripes are factory.
that looks like a holley 4360. they were another type of economaster type carb. nothin like a q-jet when not worn out.
