I have watched plenty of your fixes and service uploads, Today I pulled apart a (PRO tm 18v) rip saw I was given a few years ago it's a cheap thing and would not run even after I charged both batteries.
After a clean and a little tab bending the thing is back to work, thanks to the confidence I gained watching you. Many thanks.
Why the brushes looks okay when then machine has clearly done a lot of work? Have they been replaced before?
"look at the size of that, thats huge" thats what Dean said
Hi Dean. A trick for fitting lip seals. Use an old fairly long o'ring put it thru the inside of the lip seal and you can roll it round pulling down past the upper seal grooves down to the bottom groove. This also protects the new seal from damage which a screw driver can do. Hope you understand what I mean.
Hi Dean, greetings form Czech Republic 🇨🇿 love the video as always 😊. I'm a mechanical engineer, so it's interesting for me to see how these things are constructed and how they are then repaired.
Just one question, i was just wondering if the two lip seals on the striker should be facing the opposite way to each other. So that the first one is facing out of the hammer and keeps the grit out, and the top one facing in and keeps the grease in 🤔 ?
Good video and on first one every one makes a mistakes, sorry I don’t want to be a smart guy but easier way is to put steel washer and the spring in the housing first after that hammer pipe , for the hammer and pistons you can put it if you like at the very end, and maybe u done it right after video but in video you had placed that control disk in opposite direction
I watched the whole vudeo without batting an eyelid nit to miss the placement of any part.Great job Dean. You know why a part is made and that majes your skill show up everytime.
Great video Dean
Have you got a long for your reversible assembly driver bits please?
If dean has never worked on a tool , once he gets into it, it all comes back to memory
Hey Dean, Pos. 54 Control Disc was assembled the wrong way round, this may cause the perforated ring (Pos. 36) to fail, doubt it’ll cause damage to the hammer as its plastic but its just an observation for the next one. Ps. keep up the amazing vids, love watching you and learning at the same time 🙂
Good work, Dean. That's one helluva tool!
Love the speed cleaning
"Never worked on one of these machines before" immediately starts throwing screws😂
You were great as always
You did very well, well done
That big washer with the half circle lugs on that the bump sits against you have installed it in the wrong direction the half circles face the longer part of the pistons cylinder, I watched it back before it was disassembled.
You should do some 'That's her' merch.
Dear Lord!!!
Look at the size of that crank gear!!!!
Mighf as well be the flywheel on my pickup truck
Fine machines these Boschhammers.
sum amount of cleaning there dean 😂
Hmmm wonder would kero work in an old dishwasher without an explosion
112k in subscribers well done Dean. That demo hammer is really built to last. Probably it's first service and she lasted 12 years which is testament to the Bosch hammer's build quality.
Hey Dean, I found those seals will work again if you leave them for a day or two to 'dry out' or if you put them in the freezer.
Always makes me smile when you have your hands deep in dirty thick contaminated grease, yet the the clean grease gets spread with a paint brush. Great vid again as always.
Thanks Dean,I’m usually out for a pint a bit earlier on a Friday, but I was 1:07:30 minutes late tonight, great video
I somehow don't think I'd ever attempt to fix something that complicated. I think changing brushes or a plug fuse is my limit.
this is what years of experience looks like…..
New circlip pliers
Put the O rings and the seals on the striker in reverse
Nice job well done
Hi, your videos are better than Netflix, but in this one, you made a mistake with the placing of the washer with ears at 18:15 vs 45:01.
Well thought out and executed Dean, always nice to see you work on a machine you haven't worked on before. I knew with your expert eye and knowledge that you would have this (upside down) beast up and hammering again no problem. Keep em' coming Dean, great work.
Those metal fins on the aluminum body are interesting. I don't think they're for heat exchange, looks as though they are to transfer impact energy away from the bearings. And possibly the handle? Pretty cool. I like that the power cord goes forward too, so you're not always kicking it around.
Chock full of Winnit Paste!!!
What is your opinion on the Bosch RH540M hammer?
Thanks men for video ❤
