i think the amount of hot glue you put on it, it should last a lot longer than the original glue
After such a repair it is better to use as USB-C male to female pigtail and then connect chargers etc into that. Plugging / unplugging USB-C multiple times is always an accident waiting to happen (in my opinion).
Clean the fan as an extra present for the customer? 😉
USB C ports are terrible to be used as charging ports. The charger has to be plugged in every time, other usb C devices only plugged in now and again.
That's why those tabs are on the top of the chassis – they provide something for the insert to push against and not blow the pins. So presumably they were meant to be pressed in to support the gubbins but didn't happen.
The port does data too presumably so worth checking that as well.

this is one dodgy port …. I would probably change it before repairing tracks. that plastic inside is holding for dear life xD

I tried to fix the ripped pad on the USB C ports, but it was challenging. Or hard for me to do. You have some skills. I will keep trying because that is what breaks. I try pad repair strips and some very fine wire.
Huawei is trying to copy you with the hot glue, but they need some more lessons 😂
why not you use uv glue instead of normal glue stick?
