So awesome i want this fan so bad
it would be cool to use that with that Oculink Port on the GPD Win Mini
Has anyone had an issue with the SD brought with the Sharge Disk not appearing on their devices
The ultimate thumb drive
What is that cable called, that usb c to usb a short cable?
Does it work with my old 64gb I upgraded to 250ssd?
So basically I use my old SSD and put it into this case and use it as a storage space?
Edit: lame I thought this was already up and running but man excited for it tbh
I mean they already send it with type-c female to male cable(the lanyard accessory) but I don't know I guess sometimes it can escape from attention. 😂
What a missed opportunity to call it STORAGEGOTCHI !
where I can get this tho ?
Definitely something worth investing in for my old nvme drive that came out of my steam deck
Read and write quite slow but how’s the performance while gaming? Can it handle AAA games? Please make a video while gaming on this. Thanks!
Cute little fan 🥰
can u the link to buy the ssd online?
It's a nice little enclosure but the performance, bulkiness, and fan just aren't worth it. Something like the SABRENT nvme enclosure work flawlessly and can use a full length drive. It's too bulky to be a usb drive and not good enough to warrant the extra bulkiness and fan. To me this makes no sense over a good normal nvme enclosure.
So you’re telling me is a fancy USB stick
This will make the ROG Ally have a lower battery life than it already does
If you need a cooling gadget for your handheld it means that you're playing too much.
That is smart conception, but at my point of view… Better let the Usb-c to usb-c for better performance than Usb-c to Usb 2.0..
THIS IS A MUST BUY!!!!😮 When I upgrade my Steamdeck I'm gonna use this expand my storage as external storage I might even Install Windows 11 on it THANK U
ok but, how much for this, isnt it way cheaper to DIY using 3D printer + some acrylic pane to have a same look and why would you do the connector like this
i wonder if i could use it for long video recording like samsung t5
I don't really see how this meaningfully improves on what manufacturers like Sandisk have already done…theirs is small, portable, and has a TPU exterior on the actual SSD so you just toss it in a bag and go. Why add unnecessary complexity?
I wonder if it would work with Nintendo switch
The lanyard is the female to male adapter btw
Be warned that 2230 and 2242 sized SSDs are around 2-2.5x the cost per gigabyte than the standard 2280 sizes.
Heatsink is more than enough for 1000MB/s.
Looks like a vape 💨
That's pretty cool! But I'd watch out with the phrase 'active cooling'. A heatsink/fan cooler is passive cooling, it uses the ambient air to remove heat. Active cooling would be something like phase change cooling with a compressor (like A/C) or a TEC plate. This SSD uses a passive HSF.
This works perfect along with a Type C dongle so that you can feed power and use the disk on a steam deck. Plus that tight fit wont let you use this on a steam deck with a case on it.
Don't have money, im homeless living of perennial hijibijbij.
LOL.
Why would you need active cooling if it's limited to speed of USB3? Or it's thenderbolt?
such a cute fan!
that is going to be a amazing way to destroy your usb C port having that flapping around ontop of your device
As an external storage its okay. Playing games off of it is just plain dumb. its 2023 and you still want to go to dongle city? If you can buy storage, why not just upgrade the internal storage? plain and simple.
the rubber flap cover of the usb c is already breaking, hope shargeek will fix that
samsung and all other brands need to learn and copy this
Put a Noctua on it!
Looking preety cool but am still confused about the thermal choices they made
So the SSD is dumping heat through the tharmal pad onto the USB controller and the fan is cooling it 🥲
Need a noctua silent fan for sure
Can't even buy it anywhere? WTF
