  1. Are you shadow banned joey? I tried to search for you video by typing “rg566 setup joey” but it never appear in the search finally i searched you name at last

  2. Great tutorial, as usual. One of the things I like about your Android tutorials is that, even if I don't end up buying an RG556, a lot of this stuff will carry over to the Android devices I do own and enjoy.

When you were downloading M64 I noticed that your Odin 2 and one of the Retroids are listed as phones. I'd never thought to notice this before, but Anbernic also seems to be using a phone build of Android instead of a tablet build. Why? It's weird when you think about it. Retro handhelds will spend approximately 98.7% of their useful life in landscape mode. Stock "Tablet Android" has a number of quality of life improvements over "Phone Android" for devices that are primarily used in landscape.

Older Android phones could be forced into tablet mode by going into Developer Options and setting the DPI to 600. Granted that was back when tablet mode was more or less a glorified flag to tell apps to give you a few more buttons and tabs. I'm not sure what would happen if you tried that with a newer phone or handheld, now that Google has put actual effort into the tablet experience. If it worked it'd be a nice little upgrade for the RG556, or any Android handheld.

  3. thanks for the tutorial, I followed the steps but I have a strange problem, I uninstalled all the apps, I try to reinstall them from the playstore but it gives me the installation error on many apps, if instead I try externally from an apk it tells me update app but the factory app is already uninstalled and won't let me update. Do you know what the problem is please

  4. First thing i did when i got it was remove all the pre installed anbernic crap including all the google apps (except the play store). The device is rooted out of the box so is also removed their launcher & front-end with lucky patcher. Daijisho is now my launcher and the RG556 boots up in around 10 seconds. I installed all my own roms on a 1TB micro sd kaart and my own emulators of choice and used button mapper to remap the buttons. Now it's a fantastic device and behaves and looks like a real modern handheld ❤

  5. ive had a anbernic no brand sd card for 3 years that came with my 351p and it never failed once i got a 512 samsung evo plus i paid 129.99 for back then and it failed 3 times already its happening more now so the brand thing had nothing to do with it i done research and aparently flash storage has a read and right fail rate after like 10 thousand reads and right then it starts to fail but that number is doubled with good brands but not guaranteed they still can fail just as quick they have a protection that prevents them from losing data in failur but its not 100% so ultimately ur 2x better 90% the time with a good brand the price dont justify that for me i rather take my 100% durable 10k fail rate every day over a 90% 20k plus the price hike

  6. Is it possible to download the roms using the device with the wifi onto sd card that's already inserted. So without using a computer. I have an ipad tho if that doesn't work. I would just need a flash drive if I was going to use that?
