  1. Hudson, there is a new lighter weight ProArt P16 out now. It has the new AMD Ryzen chip with a great Nvidia Geforce RTX 40 series GPU. And priced a few dollars less. What do you think about this one?

  2. FYI – I'm sending a couple of eyepieces for you to check out – a round eyepiece and a round eye cup for the Z6 III (they fit all bodies in the Z5, Z6, Z7 series). You should see them early next week.

  3. I bought the Asus ProArt based upon your original video. Only minor complaints…the dial often loses it's settings and won't work unless you go in and resave the preferences. I even contacted Asus…they confirmed the issue, but have no real solution. It's a minor inconvenience to be sure. Wonderfully powerful laptop!

  4. Similar but slightly different FN2 button issue.

For this update I saved profiles to the card that was in the camera (and that had recent images on it). Replaced that card with a newly formatted card with the firmware update. Followed directions and all went well.

Replaced card with the one with the profiles and images. Had to reset time zone and date format (actual time and date were correct). Took an image so the camera would read the last recorded image frame number and continue with the sequential number instead of restarting at #0001. (I think this number reset issue is more common if using a newly formatted SD card to update instead of Fotos and/or having a card with images on it in the camera).

Loaded profiles and everything worked except Function button 2, which I had previously set to AE lock, reverted to the Digital zoom setting. It did not change to Photo/Video switch. Fix was the same as you describe. Changing it back to AE lock for each profile and resaving the profile.

  5. Sometimes I wonder who's in charge of software at Leica.. And not only for the Q3. Camera freezing, files disappearing, camera's dont switch of, wrong format of the firmware at this update file etc etc.. It goes on and on.. Never had anny issues with my Nikons. Don't they test things at Leica?…

  6. Thanks for the video. I bought my Q3 in July and this has been my first firmware update after the one I had to upload when unpacking the camera. I don’t have that bug after uploading 2.05 and Fn2 works still the same way as configured when I reload my profiles. Maybe a complete reset to the factory defaults and then installing the new firmware solves that bug?
