  2. It's a surprise this took so long for a review of this Laptop to come out. I've owned mine for nearly three weeks now.

Not sure why but the keyboard seems a bit glitchy, although it could be Chrome.

  3. I am very concerned about the CPU thermals. It is most important to me. Which one should I take? Should I take this year's Asus Scar 18? Or take last year's Lenovo Legion Pro 7i? I will be very helpful if you tell me. Both cases i will pick the rtx 4080 version.

  4. I thought my RGB was bugged. In Windows there's a setting for Dynamic Lighting which is telling Windows to control it. Turn Dynamic Lighting off in Windows and RGB functions as expected. Just got this guy in although I bought the 4080 version. Super happy with it so far for the $.

  5. I have an "obsolete" gaming laptop (ASUS G752 – I7 processor/Nvidia GTX) which has and continues to be a beast for my needs. I love my current laptop, but I wanted a 2nd laptop for various reasons and a decent upgrade to my current. I had the 2023 Scar 16 for a week and decided I wanted a full size keyboard and larger screen. I expect the only difference from the 2023 to 24 is the slightly improved screen (plus it being offered in 18"). I ordered this laptop and will have it on Monday. Time will tell if I feel the money spent is worth it, I suppose. I'm not an avid gamer, more casual – and mostly non intensive graphics (Blizzard stuff). BUT I do a bit of graphic type editing, CAD Design, etc. and typically have a bunch of windows open so needed speed. The cool factor lights are a draw for me. I'm not the type to upgrade frequently, so want something that will be relevant for atleast another 10 years. The screen drew me in on this model, but the price was meh. I was so torn between a bunch of options for at least a month. I decided to try this one on for now, if I don't absolutely love it, I'll return it.

  6. Hello, I am studying computer science at university and I am going to buy a new laptop. I'm undecided between scar 18 and scar 16. Scar 16 2023 model scar 18 2024 model. I want to buy a high performance laptop. And has the coil whine problem in the new 2024 model Scar 18s been completely eliminated? If I choose Scar 18, is the price difference worth it?

  7. Hello can you review latest LOQ model of 2024 that comes with RTX 4060 + I7 14700HX.
M curious on how much total system TDP is on it ? i.e how much max CPU and GPU TDP, TGP can it sustain including the temps

  8. I have the exact same one and when i listen at the middle (slightly to the right) i do hear electrical noise.

What makes it obvious is uninstalling armoury crate and using g-helper instead. If i put it to silent mode in ghelper and play wow classic capped at 144 fps max settings (no rt) the fans are so silent that i do slightly hear it in a quiet room. If i hold my ear to it it's relatively loud. Wondering if i should return it and get another (still got 14 days)

  9. I have the SCAR 16 2024 (4080) on preorder as well as the new Blade 16 (4080) OLED on preorder. Still humming hawing on which to cancel. I've used 2 OLED screens for desktops in the past couple years, a LG CX 48" and an Alienware QD-OLED. LG CX although is touted to be burn in resistant, needed pixel refresh to scrub burn in just 6 months in, then again in 3 months, then again in 1 month. I gave the TV to my mom for streaming and got an Alienware QD-OLED that got burn in 4 months. I did all the PC tricks, hiding the start bar, having a dynamic bg etc. but just using web browsers for work and stuff is brutal for OLEDs. It could also be an OLED panel lottery as I know some ppl honestly don't experience this. I now run a Samsung G9 Neo and the peak brightness on mini-leds are chef's kiss I don't miss the pure blacks too much.

So long story short, I'm still on the fence as:

    – Razer Blade 16 = better build quality, OLED scares me
    – Scar 16 = less build quality, Mini-LED is awesome

So it comes down to performance, thermals, and customer service. What would you recommend?

  10. you are amazing, please provide me with link of mic you are using and can i use for streaming , i mean i have laptop and there is load sound fan, sorry for my English
