Murphy's laws applicable to multimeter leads too…
6:00 – You should have replaced that capacitor. Customer gets unfinished repair!
How mutch money you f….
The other electronics βrepairβ shops need to watch your videos and learn some skills.
I have been working in repairs for 40 years and 20 in microcomputers, sometimes you have to face unpleasant situations, where they tell you that charging for a shorted capacitor is theft. Sorin apparently shows that it was easy to find the defect. But it is not like that, you have to know exactly how switched sources work, where to measure, how to inject and have a thermal imaging camera. Without that camera the work would take a little longer. Those who do not respect the work of others should be deleted as clients. There are faults that are much more difficult to resolve, which can sometimes take more than a day of work. What is charged is an average value that compensates for the time, investment and enhancement of a machine that was useless until its repair. Sorin comes from a country where there are very limited resources and where everything must be repaired as possible.
Hello, what is the thermal camera model?
hannstar j mv-4 94v-0 bios bin file Hello, I need Toshiba laptop bios bin file?
I knew the New Years resolution wouldn't last…. back to his dodgy old self π
Is working. We have pictureπ
When you're good you're good man. You have a great channel and attitude ππππ₯
Sorin is like David Copperfield, make capacitors disappear.
A lucky ducky
Very good work sorin
Eletrolytic capacitors in these power stages aren't used as bypass for unwanted signals. That's why there is a ceramic one connected in parallel. These big capacitors are there mainly to absorb voltage surges or to provide the power needed in case of a sudden voltage drop. For that reason these capacitors MUST ALWAYS be replaced. Not replacing this capacitor can possibly lead to system instability or even another hardware fault.
I would have thought that such a big Cap would be replaced…
Hi Sorin, I hope you will find time in one of your future videos to explain how to identify main power rail. In your videos you just open the laptop and immediately check for shorted main power rail somewhere in the middle of the board. This is not clear to me and perhaps many of your viewers. It is obvious that main power rail will be on the first current resistor (the closest one to the charging port), but how do you know which is main power rail somewhere on the board?
Thank you for all you're doing for the community.
5:50 that's a TANTALUM capacitor. they are polarized and a common failure point.
Rule number one "no capacitor no shorted capacitor".
Rule number two "not every beep is a short" .who will add it
"- We have picture!" π Never gets old
Sorin, what is your power supply s limit in amps?
I'm sure Sorin will replace the capacitor, he just says that to mess with us π
Aveti cumva UN program de verificat vram artefacts la laptop? Cum at fi mats iso?
Sorin "the missing capacitor" :))) you have to love this man
Cables have a mind of their own. They always get twisted in the most complicated way possible, to mess with us.
