You can put a little vaseline on the threads of the shoo goo to keep the cap from gluing to itself. If the cap cracks like mine did, I found a toothpaste cap makes a good replacement.
For gluing shoe soles I found contact cement works better, It's what the cobblers use.

I would remove the seat cover. Patch the hole on the inside and on the outside put a few ribs (like new MX bike seats have) or a heat transfer on the seat cover.

You're the only guy I've seen with a sharp pocket knife since I was a kid going to the flea market and there was an old guy selling knives that would sharpen anything for free. That was 35 years ago.
Everyone at work has a folding butter knife.
I prefer a simple Stanley utility knife.
You can also patch over the spot with some tarp material and make it stronger than it was before
I still use the Elmer glue skin but I use it for pulling wood slivers

Be careful on that 230 them frames crack the engine mounts fatigue and they also break causing the chain to jump and bust the stator cover, all that aside great seat repair

My friend is a glazier, he uses a squirt of dish detergent in a cup of water, instead of spit, to smooth out silicone caulking.

In my past I owned an Upholstery shop, I found for good precision cuts in foam, to use a serrated butter knife… fyi
Instead of licking your finger you can use an ice cube on the shoe goo

Ginger would stub up and not ride with je and probably bite as well. I just patch holes with anything I can find or duct tape is a fancy fix. Blessings

i stabbed my scooter seat with something when it fell, i had a reliable patch using liquid elextrical tape. tried reinforcing with med. tpe, that unbonded and got plain liquid tape to last for months
