I don’t know how anyone can hate on this video. This guy has taught me so much and every time I try what he teaches me it always comes out perfect.
So what is the stuff you put on?
I have a stone chip on my rear wheel arch, unfortunately it has been left so long that rust is just starting to set in. What would you suggest doing with it and have you any videos for this. Any help tips would be much appreciated. The rust is just on the surface at this stage.

tried everything on my van but for some reason it the paint keeps on pulling out of the scratch even after i leave it to cure for 24hrs

My car is a similar metallic colour with 2, I think deeper scratches than those you demonstrated, I'll give this method a try for sure, I was going with your other method of using the base coat to fill the scratches now I'm not sure which way to go.
Long time subscriber here…thank you for all the tips you share for free. You've put a lot of painters out of job😂. Question about applying lacquer: is it viable doing small/medium repairs with an airbrush (let's say the ones used for models)? I saw your perfect result using just a rubber glove/squeegee for paint chips, but wouldn't be more "blended" by using a local spray method? I'm guessing it would reduce the 1500-2000 grit sanding part and further maintain the original paint thickness. Could you get away just with an agresive polish…? Maybe do a video on the subject? I've managed to burn through some of the clear coat when trying to polish out bird sh!t marks, can you do a video on correcting burn through?

It's all about the quality of the paint. I did it once on my brother's car and it didn't come out well because of the paint. it was like a marker paint 😢
