  1. for the c-bill amount the CG30 exceeds the CG30-R in performance. I have a Hellbringer build using (4) CG30 and nothing else. currently i do more DPS when compared to CG30-R in my exact same build. I have noticed all the regular chain guns do far more damage dps then the rapid versions ("R"). Reason is although rate of fire is less, it is has a considerable higher output of damage. They are just a tad slower but really not too much difference to notice especially when you see the leg of a light mech get ripped off with just one or two shots.

My mech build, i use them with the FCS (qs) sensor it provides great quirks plus has predictive and modular to allow for battle computers. If you consider that too much of a cheat, you could use any ballistic sensor for that matter or use modular sensor with battle computers and you start to really see how these things come alive. use weapon compensators in upper arms, (which provide great modifiers including recoil), efficient ammo feeder in each location they are in, use the bc ballistic, bc range, bc perdictive and bc heat. That will allow these things to shred anything in front of gunsights, including allies … oops…(been warned, LOL!). Usually 3 to 4 alpha bursts shots from these things kills lights, mediums and will shred heavys and assaults to structure in hurry.

They especially have deadly output when used on any mech with any machine gun quirk since they are considered machine guns (at bottom of description).
Gatling guns are useful for buildings, vehicles and vtols. Problem with gatling guns although they sound like an A10 warthog the damage output is only at %50 against armor (see in bottom of description), and they have considerably lower damage rate even though dps high. Chain gun is perfect especially in heavy and assault mechs. the lighter chain guns CG10 and CG20 are great in medium builds or an urbby with machine gun quirk. The damage per ammo shot output is far better than any other ballistic machine gun and even better than most a/c's.
with the use of ballistic quirks given from various components and mech quirks these things shred even as a tier 0 or tier 1 weapon. They do build up heat quickly make sure to use an efficient cooling mech build, but still very manageable in even a hot build. trick is get use to using in 1 to 3 second bursts or just simply tap continuously on button instead of holding down. Doing that way very rarely have jam and heat issues, however long 10 to 15 second stretches they will still get to the jam meter and heat scale. so tap them instead of hold down and limit yourself to more 5 to 8 second bursts they will pretty much shred any mech that gets in front of them.

I am also playing using very hard settings so when i notice an enemy with these beasts i make sure i try and stay behind them or make sure i run for cover as you do not want to be in front of too long or else will loose your mech. since i am using the force mech destruction on my option settings have lost 2 very expensive assault mechs to enemies using them.

Thanks for all the vids, been watching them for the last 4 years. Very entertaining and informative. Thanks!

  2. Welcome back and it's good to see you on your feet again.

The battles were nice. I feel like you need to construct a dedicated light lance for those solaris duels, lest you lose out on good money and picks.

Nice missions where you built up your cash reserves. The Centurion and Urbanmech did well not to use up all of their ammo.
Also, you do have a Shadow Hawk, it just needs to be rebuilt.
The Loader King needs a core, as well.

  4. Yo Baradul I run almost every mod you run and I got all dlc what are you using to get the pilots with the certain skills and how do you advance time the way you do? Furthermore it seems my sensors regardless of range is very much line of sight, any thoughts?

  5. So, was the chaingun too heavy or not quirked where the Street Sweeper could carry it and mitigate the decreased armor damage? That hefty cooldown and the general name of the Street Sweeper make it seem like it is more geared to LBX/AC usage than the AC10 but I haven't gotten through the entire video yet.

  6. Dude, i appreciate your content IMMENSELY. buuuuut.,,you're decision to make assembled mechs at 8 is killing this run, I'm bored watching you wreck your lights. I didn't see anything wrong with the way you were progressing in last play-throughs. get'er done bro…move to heavies at LEAST.
