The PS 5 Pro price is crazy. Other than budget, I feel like I am the target demographic for this console. I don’t have a PS4 or a PS5. I have a PS 3 and would love to continue the franchises I played on this console. I work on a computer all day, so I prefer console to PC. But that price… especially with the next gen Switch coming out in the next year and the next gen Xbox rumored to be coming out in 2026. Plus paying for games themselves, it is tough justify buying a console without a budget to purchase games to play on it

PS5 Pro promised to be ~50% more powerful, and it costs ~50% more, so that's fair price to me.
All ubisoft games are slogs to me. Haven't bought one in a very long time new and full price since most of the time after first few hours the game is repetitive and boring.
By then I usually just YouTube the story and move on.

The main reason for the price difference isnt down to strength of currency. It's because the US price shown doesnt include tax but the UK and Euro price does. Also the tax in the UK and most of Euope is a decent but more than the USA at 20%.
I remember getting a black friday deal on a PS4 for $300 that came with a controller cradle charger, Fallout 4, and the Nathan Drake collection. I'll be interested in getting a PS5 when Sony/retailers can pull that off
Me buying that for $700 lol funny…. I rather invest in a steam deck, at least that's portable and pretty powerful for what it is. we need to let these companies know we ain't paying certain price for certain things, if we don't this is what they do and that's why they sold the playStation portal, which is total shit in my opinion, it's a fancy doorstop without internet access.

Feels like most PS5 hardware are failures or underwhelming this generation with PSVR2, PS screen controller and now the PS5 pro.
Imagine what the next gen consoles will cost at base price. We can all complain but even for these prices they will likely sell a ton of them which gives them all the incentives needed to up the price for next gen
